PES3/WE7 - what's the difference?

What are the differences between PES3 and WE7 (apart from the Europe/US/Japan issue)? I was having a debate with someone who said WE7 was MUCH better than PES3 but he couldn't really say how. Just said it felt 'smoother and better' (some arguement eh?). I haven't seen WE7 or read about it really so can any of you lot give me the lowdown.
