I have not tried patching it myself so wouldn't know about patch compatibility but as long as you have it on your hard disk and a PES4 DVD then you could download one and just try it, if it doesn't then you just delete it and look for something else.

Of course the beauty of having all the tools available to download is that you can add things yourself, I have just got into the kit designing thing and adding them to it via graphic studio.

I recommend the Dario X patch myself but then earlier on in this thread I posted a torrent link for a compilation of files that I have changed for my own personal preference.

Thanks for the response....but did you mean WE8i DVD?

I guess my question is based off the fact that there is a program that converts PES option files into WE8i option files, so is there a program (or a way) to do the same conversion to patches. My guess is that I'm drawing a bad conclusion based on option files being similiar to patches, but the idea doesn't sound too far fetched to me.

Not that I am aware of. In fact it would be impossible since patches over write game data as opposed to memory data.

In order to patch the game you are changing game files, If you patched it then took your new disk to a friends house and played on his Xbox you would still have the benefit of updated kits that came from the patch but his option file would be loaded, his player changes would take effect. So if Beckham had been given new boots on his xbox option file it would show when you are playing but take your disk home with you and then load it your option file would take over and Beckhams boots would be back to normal.

The option file only updates things you have changed in the game such as player hairstyles, boots and strip fits etc.

I hope that has explained patches and option files.

What I meant earlier was, if you have the original DVD of WE8I but also have it on your harddisk then download a patch and try it. If it doesn't work then delete WE8 off of your harddisk and you haven't lost anything.

The boot pack on that patch was from the PC ultimate patch, i tried a few and then made one of my own.

To make a boot pack is fairly straight forward but it is a pack, you can't just update one boot. This also requires Graphic Studio.

Morientes, what I think you need is an updated option file. Patches only change "In game files" and not transfers etc. If someone posted an up-to-date option file it would be worth looking at.

Xbox Players! Option File Request

If anyone can be bothered to sit and edit the option file supplied with the Wolf_Hook file compilation can they upload it for all of us to download.

* We need latest player transfers
* Latest hairstyles and face changes
* Boots to the closest possible match
* Name edits if needed
* Strip fits

Basically anything that I have neglected, sorry, I just couldn't be bothered.
This is, as I am sure you are all aware, a very time consuming task hence why I haven't done it.

Could we have the option file so it is easy to transfer via Xbox Saves Manager please, this will eliminate the need to give people instructions on how to FTP the thing etc.

It would also help out old Morientes who enjoys the finer details in life. I would also like to give it a go.

Thanks very much.

Just wondering, would that include the kits being 'default' so that the kits can be seen from the patch, instead of the Option File.

No mate, in the set of files I posted a while back is an option file that I had edited to include Brighton and Hove Albion and Nagoya Grampus Eight players. I also done some minor touch ups to major named players but didn't bother getting to involved with it.

Some people have downloaded the files I editited and wanted an up-to-date option file including transfers etc, so I am asking for someone to update it and then post it back.

It's me being lazy and some people are desperate for every little detail to be changed. Of course since I had to input player names and stats for Brighton and Grampus Eight it seems silly to ask for just any old option file because it wouldn't tie up with my set of files.

Christ that was hardwork. I need a lie down.

To be honest, to correct all of the transfers would take a very long time, and a job I wouldn't fancy.
