E_TEXT.afs is what you want. Then find title_e.txs for the main 'Press Any Button Screen' and the others as well I believe. Good luck :)

yes i found this file but it only has the picture for the main title, that says 'press any button', what i am looking for are the menu icons that appear after this screen.

also does anyone know the locations of the flags on the iso??

They are also located in E_TEXT.afs . Under the heading 'setup_afr_cup_e.txs' (this example is obviously African Cup. All the others are there and you can see the background bmps you are looking for.
