player chipping the ball

my player keeps chipping the ball when i go to shoot can anyone tell me why

perhaps your holidng down the Left trigger. Well whatever you use for PS2, i play it on Xbox

You could be pressing the R1 button after the shooting gauge appears, that sets off a little lob... try holding R1 before you shoot for more power or just dont press it at all, mate :smile:

if your hurrying to shoot mate and u double tap square or circle (whatever you use) then it chips the ball up.. if that dont solve it then there a problem with your controller

when im shooting i keep hold of sprint

You tried this on another pad? My R1 got so knackered that it kept turning it self on and off, hence the chipping.

well then in that case release the sprint button then you should be able to finish your chances

That sometimes happens to me, you have to let go of all buttons (except r2 if your going to do a controlled shot and except running direction) before you shoot.
