Playing off HD?

Hi, i'm a newb. here and just Downloaded a patch for we8i. and in the instructions it said you could save to HD and play off it. I was wondering if any one does this because every one talks about buring it to dvd-r and playing it off the disc. Is there a reason that might be better to play off the dvd-r rather than the HD? just wondering. thanks

The reason might be that it is a whole lot easier to get the game to run off the disk rather than the hard disk. As can be seen in the thread where someone couldn't get the game to run off the hard disk.

iv got a hd thingy and i fink its way easier and quicker than patching 2 disk.

mines just full of different patched versions of pro evo 4

i need the angelous first patch desperately if any1 knows where 2 find it

I have also played it of the HD and it works fine,select mode3,it also loads up much faster than DVD plus saves you using all of your DVDR's every time you need to patch it !

cool, thanks. i have my HD, and xport all i'm waiting for is my HD loader. once that comes in i'll see how it goes
