I have to say that I've just come off from playing Fifa and I seemed to get the black screen about 3 or 4 times when I've not had it at all in the last 3-4 months. I've lost connection regularly over that time but it never freezes in that manner.

Could just be that the game has deteriorated. All of this happened to me on FIFA10, because I played it to death. The other PS3 games were fine. I ended up getting a new copy and that worked well.

When I clicked on it yesterday, it had 1 rating. I think you have to download something in order to rate it, so there is at least 1 idiot out there!
I really don't see the benefit of these digital downloads. They cost more and they take up more space..... how incredibly convenient!

Thats 500 American dollars! 2 weeks from now 700! But yeah aside from the DLC the prices for movies and all that is k-razy. Heres a thought for old games DLC should go on sale or be marked down. Take Valkyria Chronicles for instance, you can get that game for 17 bucks. Yet the DLC is 9.99. Nearly the cost of the game itself.

Those prices annoy the hell out of me, granted I'm not a PS3 user but there will no doubt be stupidly inflated prices like that for digital downloads on the Xbox 360 soon enough. I think the most they charge for new games is between £40 and 45, but if the entire market begins to shift to digital then you can bet they're going to keep raising it slightly.
The very worst part about it is, the companies like Sony and developers of the games are making far more money anyway if it's sold digitally at standard price as they're obviously cutting out extra publishing costs and the middle man of shops - as we all know about. But instead of lowering the price for the happiness of the customers since these corporations are making more money, what do they do? They fucking increase the prices out of pure greed to make even more money like a full priced game at £40 for digital download isn't even money for them to make.
Personally, a digitally downloaded game should be well below fucking shelf price for two simple reasons; 1) It isn't in it's physical form so you don't particularly own it, meaning you can never even sell it on if you get bored - meaning you've effectively wasted a shit ton of money with no chance to recoup, and 2) What happens if your console breaks? Or your hard drive corrupts? Maybe it will be assigned to your usertag so it'll still be there but it's still a faff on and considering it's easier to breach into Sony than it is the panties of a Geordie lass then it becomes a problem.

Yeah I still have the plus logo on mine as well. I almost got a bit worried thinking they might have had some thing where you have to get rid of it yourself or pay the subscription. It does sound like something they would do, and get a few pounds out of it before people realise.

Aye, my PSN+ account is still active. They can't just take £39.99 off you though, as purchases require you to add funds to your PSN wallet. If they started adding money to your PSN wallets to pay for this an automated email would have been received notifying us from DoNotReply@Sony.

Has anyone bought a DualShock 3 pad recently? I just had to replace mine, I bought an official Sony pad from HMV for the ridiculous price of £39.99. For that price, I expect a quality product, unfortunately the smashed analogue stick aside my old pad is much nicer. The new pad has a matte finish and feels slightly tacky to the touch, it also seems a little smaller and the triggers are softer. Anyone else come across this?
