Problem with offsides

When the opponent's defense stops my shots/passages and on their following cross I get the ball back in their half, I then try the "X" or "triangle" pass, no matter which player I direct the pass to, it always go to a player who is in offside.
And the direction too is never the one I send the pass at if I have a player offside. When I have a bunch of players in an area, and one of them is in offside, the pass always goes in that direction, with the direct consequence of a foul.

Sometimes, because of this, I have to keep the ball or send the pass to an area of the field where nobody is in offside.

Anybody has got the same trouble?

The AI is just stupid thats all...just do as I do keep the ball and have a shot or rebuild from the back and go attack again...even the through balls most of the time keeps me offside I just have worked on timing it...

I notice it is more generic. Every time there is a player in offside, the AI tends to pass to that guy. Unless you point to a very very different direction.
