Problems loading Max Drive PS2 Disk

Has anybody else had any problems with loading the PS2 disk for the max drive. It won't load and when you go onto the broswer is says Disk Error.

People have loads of problems with it.
Is the disc clean?
Is your laser clean?
Do other discs work?
Do you have the old style or the new style PS2?
Have you tried reseting the console loads of times?
Turning the console upside down?
