PS2 Memory Card problem

Basically I was transferring my option file to my friends memory card and after I had copied it across I put my memory card in the console by mistake to check whether the option file had gone across. I realised my mistake and took the card out just before pes6 got to the "start game" menu. It turns out this has wiped my memory card as when I go to browser "no data" is given. This has happenend twice now and I really don't want to fork out for another 8 MB card. Does anyone know of a way to rescue my card?

Format your MC using the PS2 disk of the Max Drive. If you don't have one, format your MC like normal (through your PS2 directly).

If you have a PS2 Max Drive CD load it up choose my devices highlight your memory card then press :square: to format it. Unfortunately you can't retrieve your stuff but your memory card reverts to fully working again.

Thanks everyone, problem solved. I'll have two working memory cards now and on the advice of someone else in one of the other threads I think I am gonna use one for PES6 and one for other games.

You mean out or in? If out  if in I can't see your problem and...

...never take the card out when it is starting or it comes up with the screen don't remove etc
