Hi,

After a couple of years of use, my ps3 is starting to freeze when loading games?

It started during replays on pes2009....

I am thinking to replace the part of the console that is causing the problem. Does anyone know what part it might be causing the problem?

Blue Ray Drive maybe or the Hard drive?

Any help would be much appreciated,

It may just be dirty, I've had mine a couple of years now too and started to get the same problem round a year ago. I just whooped the lid off and jetted it with some compressed air and all good.
But review what you have saved on your HDD, perhaps purchase a blueray cleaner disc. If still no joy maybe contact Sony.
