Referee leniency!?!?

Hello all,

Im not sure if this has been posted and discussed before if so i apologise for the echo!!! One thing i have noticed about PES4 is that the referee's rarely give out yellow and especially red cards....perfect example is a last man defender taking your player out and not getting a card when it should be a mandatory red(professional foul!)!!! What is the story, do the referees get stricter as the difficulty increases? I play on level 3 at the moment and the ref's are crap!

Can anyone shed some light?

I don't get a lot of red cards but I do give away a lot of penalties. The referees are a lot less strict in PES4 than the previous ones.

Try and avoid running directly behind the player in the box because i find u inadvertantly trip him up....penalty!

Yeah, ive noticed that on 3 that it seems that referees are very leiniant, on 4 star though if you are the last man and you commit a "professional foul" its pretty 50-50 what card you recieve, very inconsistant. But in truth its realistic because i mean the quaility of refereing as sliped. But you will find that different referees will make different decisions and have a different leaniancy, so hey why not try your luck!

Stephen Kelly?

Yeah thats true! Your a spurs fan, what about Stephen Kelly? I played with him last summer, he will be a regular in the spurs side in the next few seasons!

When the computer commits a "professional foul" on me, it's not a 50-50 on what card, it's a 50-50 on whether it will be called or not. And if it is called, a card is never given. However, whenever I do it, the referee automatically red cards me. That's one of my main grievances with the game: the referee is biased towards the computer team in every game I play.

i was playing the other day against my mate and i think the ref had it in for me, i committed 9 fouls and received 4 straight reds and 4 yellows!

Ouch thats harsh! I have had very trigger happy refs alright but not that bad!

Cart White & Ito are the strictest referees. So if you pick them, you'll be guaranteed a lot of cards. Casillas got a straight red for fouling Nedved once for me.

you gotta take the rough with the smooth, over the course of a few games, the 50-50 decisions will even out, as it does in real life. i say dry your eyes and get back on the training ground

Yesterday I was playing as Inter against my mate, who had Arsenal. Toldo got a straight red in the tenth min or so for taking down Henry... He ended up beating me 7-4.. the sub keeper for inter is shite :realmad:
