eh? i have been taken down lots of times inside the box... just fake a shot, turn a lot with the ball or run zig-zag (needs good dribbling stats) and they fall for it...

here's another thing i hate. my freekick taker stands still after a free kick he's taken rebounds off the wall, with a "Oh Shit!! Now What Do I Do??" look... trips me off all the time... :S

I've seen that last bit happen with ANY play. Sometimes my AI teammates go for a long pass and then just stand there. Thing is, the ball rebounds off one of the defenders and rolls back to the player that just kicked it. What does he do? Just stands there...

This happens with shots too. After the shot they just stand there.

yeah i presume they mean faults and not cheats....

you can't cancel the "call for the ball" when the pass is no longer on.

the mood arrows are irrespective of your previous performance or form

defenders on your team get the ball and instead of hoofing it up the park or up the line, they dilly dally, run sideways and spank it in to row z.

match exp / strength points are ridiculously random

with regards to these "invisible walls" the only one that shouldn't be there is the throw in's... i think the ruling is something like 3 foot but the invisible wall is a good 10 foot.

Well done you, I can play on the bottom level too.
We are all, of course, waiting for the token response.

got few words of advise for you: MOVE ON...

Damn I never thought you'd hold a grudge this long that's so female  Will you keep trying to post the opposite of what I'm claiming in every thread I make...C'mon man stop the childish shit..I have NOTHING against you personally...All we have is a disagreement on certain things..gues what...THAT CAN HAPPEN....
Besides you need to join these pokersites and make some real money since you can look into peoples harddrives and find information about their gaming levels..

Stop being a :crymore: look at the responses in this thread at least more people have similar experiences as me....

About ten yards you reckon?

I can vaguely see his point from throw ins, however you'd soon start getting booked for standing so close and not stationery. This would, of course, cause more backlash.

It's not only throw ins..When the AI plays a ball along your path and you have the right speed to intercept it..your player can't move further and seems like he's on a threadmill BUT once the AI player has the ball your player can run again....stuff like that....

Also I shot a ball on goal..keeper was beaten...but the ball bounced off an invisible wall and got back onto the field...I'll up it on youtube to show you non-believers...

You guys ever noticed that a human controlled defender can never get to the ball? The AI always passes it away miraculously before you get there. Always.

you can always sprint to him and slide... i do it on attack and immediatly shoot, 100% on target.

The ball going through the Goal Keeper. I don't know how many times my GK has went the right way on a penalty, or even on a regular effort, and actually gotton a hand or a foot to the ball, only for the ball to ignore the laws of physics and continue through his body and into the net.

And at the opposite end the CPU controlled Goal Keeper suffers from a more benefitial perk where should they phsyically be unable to get to a shot, and do fail to get to a shot, they can yet pull off a fantastic save due to some sort of invisible extension at the tip of their gloves.

Then there is the ever present ability for full-backs with around 70 Speed, and 65 Acceleration, or thereabouts, to make up the ground with the player in possession who has 85 Speed, 90 Acceleration, and a similarly high Dribble Speed. And as if it is not bad enough that such a gulf is reduced for the benefit of the CPU (because the AI is simply so poor that with a level playing field it struggles), the CPU controlled opposition can also glide along the pitch allowing them to make up the ground even quicker. If you check the replays enough times when it seems strange that an opponent is closing the distance with you you'll come across it. The CPU in one stride (that stops in motion as they glide) goes the equivalent of two, maybe three strides, in a time that if the motion had of continued it would've saw their legs going in a fashion not to dissimilar to that of Sonic the Hedgehog.

The above three cheats/bugs/problems, or whatever one wants to label them as, are among the most frustrating because they are quite simply the AI being beaten and resorting to unfair, unrealistic quirks that have been included in the game to compensate for the AI being poor. Not once when I played Pong did the CPU resort to allowing the ball to go through my block, one; because the AI didn't need to do that to succeed, and two; because it wasn't included in the game, so was not possible.

I know Im beating a dead horse here but the keepers parrying the ball back into play is pretty absurd... I don't know why they can't alter this in a patch that makes them either (a) parry the ball over the net or to the side or (b) catch the ball!! Obviously there will be times the keepers will make mistakes (especially when the kcik comes from a short distance or from behind a defender) but this seems to happen a lot.

I know the whole keepers parrying thing is real old now, and the argument comes from earlier versions as well. But prior to PES09 it never really bothered me that bad, but ffs in PES09, almost every single goal the CPU scores is the keeper blocking the ball straight to another opposing player. The only way the keeper ever scores is penalty, corner or this keeper crap. Konami should definitely consider a new engine. We were promised a new engine for PES09, and now it's PES10, but I'll bet we will have the same washed out engine for PES10.

Well, it happened to me once. My Chelsea was having a tight game, a 0:0 draw with some team, playing away. I got in to switch Drogba in 64th, scored a goal in 69th and got subbed off in 72nd minute of the game... It felt like I was considered to one to do "the dirty job" and thus I don't consider it an AI cheat or anything. It just happens. Maybe you were pretty fatigued by the time they subbed you on so to prevent you from losing more stamina they took you off?

I wasn't fatigued...I was kept on the bench and got subbed..sometimes the AI does that when you like 3 or 4 points ahead of the AI generated no2 team in the chart..so to gain points they keep you on the bench so they can regulate the scores more easily without you interferring...and it didn't happen to me on just that one occassion..It happend about 3 or 4 times..in various seasons...

right now i started my second BAL player (18 years) have 80+ on shot accuracy but can't get one shot on goal to save my life...everything goes wide or over...

HAVE YOU ALSO NOTICED THAT WHEN YOU STAND CLOSEBY TO THE AI'S KEEPER YOU ABILITIES ARE DISABLED..YOU CAN PRESS KICK ALL YOU WANT ..NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO WHEN YOU HAVE A SCRIMAGE BEFORE THE AI'S GOAL YOU CAN'T DO SHIT SOMETIMES

Another annoying thing, maybe mentioned by someone elsewhere, but still considered by me as an AI cheat is about FKs... Let's say in my ML Villa takes short FKs, so I get one... I decide to shoot, fill up the power meter, targetting the short post, the ball gets kicked... Bah, too little power, the ball hits the wall and falls back just a step away from Villa... And what does he do? He is standing almost still, trying to get back to the default position of a player, which takes him like 4 seconds or something... AND YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, CAN'T EVEN SWITCH TO HIM! WHAT THE HECK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN? Not to mention that if he got to the ball in time it would have been a great goal scoring opportunity...
