Reviews are bullshit, thats all I gotta say about that and IGN....... well, What score did they give PES2008???

Yes I did see, I am merely stating that IGN as a source for accurate reviews and scores has no credibility, I wouldn't place much faith in their scoring either way. PES 2008 got 9's - enough said.

I can tell that this year PES 2011 is going to win over some big reviewer because guess what , PES 2011 is the best on in the series ever since it released

athlon - milkep is talking to the OP - He can't fkin read . His own link has Fifa at 9.5 on IGN!!!!

I agree that IGN is bollocks - have a look on Eurogamer or Video gamer for a better take on the 2

http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/pes_2011/review.html

You are confusing yourself man, 9.5 is the score given by IGN UK, look a little above and you'll see the ratings from IGN in the US (8.5).

i don't like the monotone chants atmosphere in the stadium in PES 2011 and the only one manual button control system (you can not changed and the shot engine is not better), that sucks !!! but PES 2011 makes really fun, good game !!!

ok - so the US Review gives PES 9.0 and Fifa 8.5

Am I right in saying that the UK Review gives PES 8.7 and Fifa 9.5

If we take an average PES gets 8.75 and Fifa gets 9.1 :)

Lot closer this year though..............Also (and I hate IGN) I would have more faith in the UK reviewers of a footy game

I get your point, but I justed pointed out that OP could read, as opposed to what you said.

And bottom line, does it really matter which score each reviewer gave to the game? Play what you like best, I've been playing pieces of shit like PES 09 and 10 over Fifa. And I'm sure to continue playing 11, even though is the most Fifa-ish PES yet.

I think whats happening on this site in general is we're all nit-picking: We've come to expect PES to be full of problems and 'game breaker bugs', so we are all actively looking for them.

And I have to say, I have looked for most of the bugs people have described when I play the demo, I play on top-player and the only thing I have noticed is the defenders not cutting out some easy through passes at times.

But overall I have to say this is a PES that I actually want to play - and its been along time since I've felt that.

And the important thing everyone needs to remember is, unlike PES 2010, this game isn't fundamentally broken - any problems can be fixed with patches, so within a few weeks I would say, we should have the best PES ever on our hands, if the vanilla version itself isn't it.

I can't wait anymore

The co-op playing is still broken, count on it. This time you can actually switch into the player that your friend is controlling while he has possession of the ball. It had me and my friend throwing the controllers at the tv yesterday. Also, player switching is the worst in years. They could've copied that feature from Fifa where you use the right stick to pick the player you want.

I only usually play Master League so I can't comment on co-op. I use semi-assisted switching and it works well for me. For me this may be the Pro Evo I've been waiting for since picking up PES 3 all those years ago, still cant wait

Edge gave it a 6/10

Reading the reviews this year it seems the same as last year in that people have to defend the game rather then it talk for itself. Think it is time PES was no longer a yearly title. They need to work on it until it is done not release it as quick as possible just to compete with EA. That is why they have lost their credibility and why it is getting such poor reviews. Same old story, looks great, plays shit.

For me PES plays a great game this year, so I don't know where that comment comes from. In my opinion reviewers who comment on PES whilst playing below Top Player , which most of them will do, have no validity in their review at all.

I agree though that PES shouldn't be a yearly title. Maybe Konami should do a 3 year cycle and release expansion packs each year between. If they started that from next year, now PES is decent, I could live with that.
