i started my bal in aston villa in ss position and then gained the cf position as well.

after a good first season in aston villa, i was transferred to liverpoool.
the formation of liverpool is 4-5-1. i was thinking probably i will compete with voronin and kuyt to be able to play as amf, behind torres.
but stupid ai of the game, removed TORRES OUT OF THE STARTING 11, put me to cf as his replacement and voronin to amf !!!

now i am unable to play together with torres.
i guess this is sort of a "cheat" the computer is giving us. after a few matches in the bench, the player gets into the starting 11, doesnt matter who he replaces. with this crappy ai i can even replace the 94-millions-euro-worth christiano ronaldo, in case i transfer to real madrid! crap!

any ideas to prevent this?
should i look for a bal editor and delete my cf position out of my character, keep ss position and add also amf?

The computer won't change the formation in BAL mode, so if you wanted to play upfront with Torres change liverpools formation in edit mode so there are two strikers up front... simple.

changes in edit mode does not affect bal mode.
following your advice, i tried it but the formation in bal mode didnt change.

but still it is a good idea. now the question is: is there another way to change the formation of a team in bal mode?

It will only work if you change the formation in Edit Mode and then start a new BAL game.

oh this means a lot of time to increase my player's stats one more time :/

if you say that edit mode affects a new bal game, when i download the most up-to-date option file and start a new bal, all the rosters will be up-to-date?

in another topic it was being discussed: BAL and new OF
there people said a new option file wont affect bal.
at this point, the correct statement is:
"the new option file does NOT affect your CURRENT bal game, but it DOES affect your new bal games"
did i understand it right? :)

Your new BaL games will be affected by the changes that the OF performs. Not our already saved BaL file.
