You can't play without any instruments , I use the GH3 and GH2 guitars..
You can use the controllers as the singer on the 360 version.

Yeah, I've been looking at that even though Rock Band's not out for ps3 till August surely there will be a package just like there is for 360.

£129.99 from GAME, not bad at all.
