Sequel!

Everyone knows that movie sequels suck, but what about game sequels, PES just gets better and better, FIFA gets worse and worse, also the MGS series has always been one of my favourites, MGS3 cleared alot up, GTA series is brillient, Driver series went down hill, there was no need for a Getaway 2 the first one was good enough, you know anymore?

Mario games keep getting better and better, along with Zelda and almost any Nintendo game you can think of.

Metal Gear Solid is probably the best graphics of every ps2-game. It's outstanding ! also the story of it. It's always a real masterpiece. By the way it always seems to get released a couple years after each other, which gives Konami the opportunity of making it much better, and those of you who play it must agree here. Maybe they should try the same method with Pes Hell no - we can't wait more that one year..

eh? I don't fully agree with that, I mean many do suck but not all. Too tired to actually back up my point there, but if I could be bothered I'd write you a list.

Hmmm, Broken Sword games were pretty good (I know there was only 3) and Time Splitters have all progressed pretty well. Shenmue 1&2 is another, no one game is better! Incidentally has anyone else in the world played it???

I played both Shenmue games! I was so pissed when they said the mmo wouldn't come out! Well not exactly they said that but they stopped development on it...hopefully just for now!

there are still rumours of the third and final chapter. Imagine the quality on next generation console! I played both of them on the Dreamcast (the worlds most underrated console with graphics in many cases better than PS2, Shenmue proves this) and the detail and graphics were just breathtaking then, It's scary to imagine Shenmue on a next generation console.

I have seen screens. It looked good, what with the magic and all. Did you know, it was originally going to be 16 seperate games??? yep, then they decided it would be too much. So game 1 was chapters 1-3, and I believe game 2 skipped straight to chepter 5, 6, and 7. I was wishing for that mmo so badly...I'd have paid 100 dollars to import it and 20 dolalrs a month if they wanted, that's how much I lvod those games. Played the second one on Xbox, same graphics as dreamcast one though. Such a great game. Those go on my list as #1 game of all time, both are tied, they were both amazing. 100 hours each total, that's what I call a game.

Yeah the chapters that they missed out included lots of fun on the ferry to China I believe. The fact that the games came out around christmas was great too because it was such a great time and everytime I play the games, it reminds me of those days! Can't believe it was originally going to be for the saturn! But what is this "mmo" you speak of???

First off, I have seen saturn footage, it looked crap but still *gold* to me, lol. Look around for something called Shenmue Zero...crap game of Shenmue on pc but sitll geekily fun, nonetheless. "MMO" stands for massively multiplayer online, mmorpg = massively multiplayer online role playing game...like EverQuest or World of Warcraft. This is what the third Shenmue game was slated to be...Also, to only come out in Asia, not in Europe/USA...sad huh?

Yu Suzuki keeps reeling off hints like when asked about Shenmue 3 last year at E3 he was like "you'll see..." Anyway I can't wait til we get another installment. That's IF of course.

Pretty much all game sequels improve. There's only a few that badly screw up.

Ta for your opinions, I don't play this game alot but the Madden series always gets better, what do yout think about the Final Fantasy series, i've only played one of the games and didn't like it much, the graphics improved drasticly over the games but its still the same game....

What is Shenmue btw, never herd of it but it looks good!

I'm not sure how an online Shenmue would work? Who would be Ryo and how would it continue the story?

Well, you'll select a character to be, if you want I suppose you'd be Ryo. Basically, you complete quests, liek in the game, except others can help you complete them, etc etc, and once you've finished a certain set of quests in the story, you advance to the next area. However, this way, the quest can go on and on, with the developers adding new content, and also making expansion packs for the game. It would keep the game going and I personally hope it comes out, I think it would be wicked fun.
