Shot Aiming...

The aiming of shots concept in we9/pes5 has puzzled me from day 1... For some reason it seems different that 8/4... My only question is, how do you aim your shots?

With d-pad in relation to goal like this...

Or like this?...

Thanks alot in advance for any help. Thank you very little for the smart-arse answers Im about to get.

Heh.. sold my copy, never mind this.

I think it's this one.

Bloody hell! You just gave me the most awsome idea of how to make PES on Nintendo's new motion sensor joystick (Nintendo Revolution).:w00t

I hope it isn't like the last time I came up with an awsome idea. Someone else had it beore me, or so they say....

I have a dream;

I dribble as fast as I can in one direction with the D-Pad, and shoot in the direction my joystick is pointing. Too awsome. too much freedom. Too much accuracy. You direct your shot as good as you point your arm. Ridiculous directions with ridcilously skilled players result to rabona and other super shots.

I can switch the goal keeper cursor to "on" with confidence, and show my opponents what fast reflexes are all about!

Viva La revolution:ninja:

It's self-explanatory really. Dribbling and shooting have two different directions, yet they are on 1 D-pad! The short period of time (when a shot bar fills up) is all you have to mentally switch from side view-aim to front view-aim. Do you know the answer now?

If you are running one on one at the keeper (from left to right), and want to put the ball in the bottom right corner... I'd personally press south west just as I shoot.

EDIT: South east, I meant to say.

Yeh I agree with what Hitman said.
Running left to right, it's basically up on the d-pad to shoot as left as you can, and down on the d-pad to shoot as right as you can.

"Yes, silly me. I mean south east."

Well, the question was, " Wich is South? East?" so good one again.

So basically you two are saying it's diagram 2.

Well that's fudged up. If I keep pushing right (while I'm running from left to right, and continue doing so even during the :square:, the ball curls out of goal towards the right. I still get confused during the game but it's got to be diagram 1.

South east is south...east.

....NORTH....

WEST...EAST

....SOUTH....

How can it be so hard to figure out what direction south-east is?

And it is all relative to whatever direction you are running. If you are running horizontally accros the pitch, and are playing towards the goal at the right, you will need to press north-west to aim left, and north-east to aim right.

So is it Diagram 1 or 2 since there have been 2 explanations and one points toward diagram 1 and the other diagram 2? I believe aaron's points to diagram 2 and hitmanuk2k points to diagram 1. Just looking for confirmation is all. Thanks.

Erm, didn't aaron agree with what I said?

lol jeezus this is complicated! lets just use the mans diagram to answer his question!

its diagram 2, if it was diagram 1, when you had a one-on-one with the keep when attacking the goal to the right of the screen, to find the bottom left corner you'd have to press back, and vice-versa, which would just be ridiculous

So... I've got shots going in random directions... and both pictures accurately depict the shot aiming system. Great. I make useless threads.

I think you made a mistake in your second explanation, saying that going right to left you'd have to shoot northwest or northeast when you probably mean northwest or southwest.
