Should I buy the PC version of PES 5?

I'm obviously a big fan of the PES series but have always been a playstation man.
I've heard that the PC version can be of better quality and will make it easier for me to patch. Unfortunately I am not very computer literate and I'm unsure if my PC is good enough.
Here are some of the specs:
It's an e-machines 5240 with:
Intel Pentium 4-Processor 515
2.93GHZ
160GB Hard Drive
512MB With an upgraded PCI Express,Radeon X600PRO graphics card which my mate got me and said was good.
If any of the above means anything to you and you can advise me as to wether I should convert from PS2 to PC I would be grateful!

P.S. First time of posting, What a Great Website!!!

I think the PC version is very good but I prefer the Xbox one. The Good thing for PC is that if u have a good one it'll be an espetacular experience but I recommend that u buy th PS2 one for multiplayer and borrow the PC (then u get a crack) for single player...

I personally only buy games like Football Manager and CM for PC. The others like Pro Evo should be on PS2/XBOX. I have trouble deciding weather to buy XBOX or PS2 as I own both but I cant choose. I have PES4 for XBOX. Is PS2 version worth buying

Predator, install the pes5 demo and see how that runs. If it's fine then the full game should be ok too.

PC version looks the best and is easy to patch but I have always preferred the PS2 versions.

Im so disapppointed with my graphic card i bought it thinkin I would play in 1280*1024 on high quality but it only lets me play 640*480 on low fluently.... so I stick with my Xbox Version that is absolutely woderful...

Predator, your specs are just fine. In fact you have a very powerful 256MB graphics card thanks to your friend. The game is going to look awesome on your comp.

Thanx to everyone for your advice. I 'll try the demo and see how good that looks. If its looks alright I'll buy the game for my PC. Anyway if all else fails the kids will have to go without food for a week and I'll buy the PS2 version aswell. Cheers!

With the pc you can patch it and update kits/players/teams in about a year's time when its all out of date.

I would get the PC version unless you like consoles more. The PC version will run the best and look the best. The PC version is also very easy to patch and does not require you to have a modded console (swap magic, HDloader, modchip, softmod, etc) to run the patches. I have a Super Joybox 5 Pro which allows me to have 4 PS2 controllers on my PC and it also supports the Pressure Sensitive buttons. If you get the PC version you will want to get a PS2 controller adapter like such.

Yeah my PS2-USB Converter lets me use the analog stick and pressure senistive buttons too.

I'm gonna buy it for the PC because theres better graphics, the editing is just much simpler, you can save nearly an unlimited amount of replays and game saves without running out of memory.

But the biggest reason is the fact that saving times and loading times are practically nothing. Thats the one thing I hate about consoles...loading times.

I have two PS2 style analogue controllers (Logitech Rumblepad and Logitech Dual Action) but the PC port of PES 4 doesn't support analogue. Even though you can move the stick in 360 directions, the game only recognises 8. From the demo, it looks like PES5 is the same, which is very disappointing .

Oh no, not at all. You're right that PES4 had issues with the analog stick but PES5 works fine with me. Maybe the full game will have support for more pads.

Or maybe you can email Konami and ask them for support of your pads. I had a friend who did that with a game and the developers put it in the next patch.
