Slide tackles - the problem

I can't stand it anymore, I have recieved so many yellows and even reds in game for poor slide tackles.

Unfortunately its not my problem, not my timing.

It just seems to me like there is a serious limitation of animations available for a slide tackle. Just about every tackle I make they go in with the wrong foot, meaning the leg takes out the player; thus foul.

Take for example, me chasing a player down the right wing. I want to slide tackle with my left foot. That would allow me to get round to the ball and knock it out of play. Yet, illogically, I seem to tackle with the right foot, my right leg wipes out the opposition in the process, straight yellow!

They need some more animations to handle trickier angles and the selection process needs sorting, the engine clearly can't compute this correctly!

Spot on mate. This has in fact been one of the most annoying things in the pes series for several years now. They tackle with the wrong leg, making it too risky doing sliding tackles i think.
Furthermure i'm seriously getting crazy seeing those famous "assisted tackles" from the com.

I have never seen autotackles from com this year. I am saying the truth. I play on semi assisted and autotackles don't happen at all.
As for normal sliding tackles. They're better than 2009 for sure. You just have to time it. I can make perfect tackles. But I totally agree on animations and lack of them. This is one thing that keeps the game off at times. Also the left foot and wrong feet tackles do happen I'm afraid.

i find that it is easy to get cards but once you get the hang of it sliding becomes ridiculously helpful. Just don't tackle from behind or anywhere near that. My defense has relied on game saving slides several of times and i love it
