Here we go again: People imediately think PES4 will be better than WE8. The person who started this thread said it. What makes you believe that PES4 will be better. PES3 sucked a$$ compared to WE7. Japan & Konami make better games for their own market.

You crazy boy. Are you still saying that Konami is making better games for their own market??? You are really stupid mate. They already have the whole game (WE8), so all the would have to do is translate it. Now they do change PES a bit like they always have done, but there is NO WAY that they would delibirately make a worse game for their own market. Dream on mate. You live in another world.

Ontopic,

WE8 still rocks. In the beginning I loved the game, and now I even love it more. It is a better game than PES3 or WE7 imo. In the beginning I started to hate my defence because they were everywere but not where they supposed to be. But I finally learned how to change my tactics and all... And now it works great (Japanese is hard you know). I hear a lot of people complaining about the shooting, which I really don't understand. I have no problem with shooting outside the box. Some I miss, some go in really great and realistic. Also I don't understand the problem with the "supergoalie". Yes, in one-on-one it's hard(er) to beat them as it was in PES3. But it is not that hard, I score 50-60% of the one-on-ones I have. It is just the timing, and good use of the curve (aftertouch). The aftertouch works better for me than it did in PES3. Actually I believe that the improved every point of this game over WE7 or PES3.

i played it last night for first time, EXCELLENT... my only noticable differences are the players/game play seem to be slower than pes3, the long/chip pass seems to be very sensitive and it is definately harder to score. all in all the game is excellent.

crossing /heading play is so much better than WE7...a lot more effective when you time it just right

manual players only

I played my first soccer game back in 1988! And have played every single title that has ever come out since. I live in Australia but I am soccer CRAZY! The best game has been by far The WE7 International on PC until WE8. It has excellent playbility as you all know, but I am dissappointed about the graphics, there are slowdowns with no improvement to the graphics. It might just be me, but I think in fact that PES3 on Ps2 has better graphics. But The playability on WE8 wins hands on, cant wait for PES4 and especially the PC version with the enhanced graphics.

Here's "my" man :) I played every single soccer title ever made since 1984 and Atari Cassette Soccer :)

Mate, before WE8, the best one was WE7 International but Japanese version, which was not on PC but PS2 only. Anyways, PES4 will kick ass, but on XBOX not PC :)))))))

ok here is my opinion, sometimes i play with either france or arsenal, i noticed when henry gets away from defender the defender catches up easily, do u think better off changing henrys stats? by that i mean, increasing his speed, because when he gets away he shouldnt be caught so easily, what u think?

i agree players are very slow compared to pes3! when you attacking the defending team seam to be quicker, and when you defending the attacking team seem to be slower...

ive noticed it happening in all teams, not just players like henry... but i agree henry should never be caugh once away from defenders.

crossing for me is reminiscent of PES3 :) since i like to play with the 'type 4'( :L1: + :circle: crossing) controller configuration.

but one thing i miss, is when a player streaking down the wing, actually looks towards the box before crossing the ball. also, the shot-feint with the outside of foot looks choppier than the previous versions. but again, i love this version!
