Luuk,
As we've said before the convertor is a guide more than a straight converter, however i noticed a few things when using it myself.
For example, kicking power and strength are lower when converted than i would expect from looking solely at the FM stats. Anyway, I'm sure Paul will agree but ANYTHING can be fixed and refined.
The secret of the converter is that it uses raw data from the entries the user inputs when using FM. Essentially the converter can be used to make say, yourself that's, the beauty of it! Score yourself against FM and away you go
Because it is raw data, that 'input' data can be manipulated anyway the user sees fit. At the same time the calculations can be manipulated to give us any 'output' data we see fit as well as just being a guide.
I hope you understand what I mean?!
I will be looking at the converter at some point to refine it! Now that we have a better understanding of the new stats in PES and how they dictate a player's behaviour / skills. Also the new genie scout has been altered slightly from last year which is what the converter was designed to use. Therefore, I am suggesting that some of us come together, not just myself and Paul to discuss who we make it work more appropriately, for PES2013.
I create lots of teams and players each year as does Paul in his OFs. Luuk, you have shown an excellent understanding of the PES world (stats, formations etc) I think we perhaps need one or two more who have a knowledge of creating players, a) for realism, not just for the hell of it and b) are brave and sensible enough to say 'actually I think this guy is too good' or 'that guy isn't good enough'.
I'm thinking someone like Goalgerd, or Glen, or the ideal being chimps-with-quiffs, the converter this year at least, opposes what he has been doing with player stats in the file he's been involved in!
Perhaps we could do it in a closed thread of some sort? I'm not sure what the rules say about this!?
Whatever happens, the next converter will need longer, more extensive and deliberately targeted testing to iron this kind of thing out.
