Strategy Advice Needed For A Newbie

Hi All,

I have been playing Winning 6/PES2 for a while but I never really understood the team Strategy - You know - Auto Defence, Normal, Auto-Attack, Manual etc.
I have just got PES4 on XBOX and I thought it is about time I get myself a decent formation and really understand the Strategy.
I plan to use one of JMZ advanced formations (Thank JMZ, you DA MAN!!!), probably a balanced 4-4-2 but I want some advice on how best to use the strategies.

Should I use the Auto Strategy or may I better off going to manual?

Manual and follow one of jMz's tactics suggestions, then make any alterations to the formation you need. Are you best at attacking or defending?

I think I am better at defending but I need to learn how to become a better attacking player as you can't win leagues without scoring goals.

So guess I need a balanced formation and strategy.

Well if you're good with the defensive work I'd say throw more people forward so that you have more attacking options.

3 - 4 - 3 would be a good starting place if you ask me.
