The final two games were really demoralising, we played well all night and those last two were extremely unlucky results. 3-3 with the Americans was galling then losing 8-5 was infuriating, the lucky bounces and our shots going just passed the post or being blocked on the line. As has been said it was one of those games where you felt our team were not meant to win.

They counter-attacked, but, I wouldn't say they did it well. The CPU was taking up some terrible positions with our defenders making their counter attacks ridiculously simple. Even then they required numerous lucky bounces. I was annoyed with myself in that match as I missed some good chances cutting in from the left onto my right foot. I'm not sure if I was trying too many efforts from the edge of the box, were you guys getting annoyed with me or do you think I was making the right decision to have a dig when the opportunity presented itself?

Red, I made this point on the microphone, you should be playing CM as you are primarily defensively minded and don't have the physical attributes to get up and down to support attacks successfully. When you play in CM you break up plays effectively and intercept a lot of passes. Unfortunately other players were selecting the CM position and leaving you to play on the side of the midfield trio.

Zub, I agree with you that CM is your best position, however, you at CM and Red at LCM is not as effective as Red at CM and you at LCM. You're still good playing on either side of the midfield trio as you can join the attack where as Red struggles to do this as it doesn't suit his player. I'd suggest Red plays at CM when he's on and others accommodate him. Final point from last night, Zub you take free kicks when you're on. I said a while back that I remembered you being good at free kicks, it seems I was right. Great strike!

Original I would say sometimes you could get the ball across a little earlier (a left foot cross with your player would probably be just as effective), or perhaps try not to take people on when you have options. Just an observation, as I feel we play better with a quick game. You can tell me to fuck off and keep doing it if you like.

No, I realise that sometimes I become a little blinkered and do enjoy taking people on. The reason I often cut back onto my right is because I found that I seem to get too much zip on left foot crosses when I'm sprinting. The cutting back is more to slow down and hit an accurate cross than to use my right I suppose.

I thought I was shifting the ball quicker last night, to start with, but in the latter games got more frustrated and started taking people on more often which is why I thought it may have got on others' nerves. The only thing I would get defensive about is when I run straight into someone, particularly from knock downs, the response time on my controller is pretty poor and many times in those situations I'm not trying to take the player on but actually release it but I haven't pressed it early enough.

I do wish they'd strip out unnecessary aspects of the game which could be causing lag. I'm all for bells and whistles but not at the expense of the core game.

Original, personally I like to see your trickery on the wing, I think you have some skills, its only frustrating, to me at least, when we are not scoring, we have all the possession, 30 shots to their 5 and come away with a draw! I would say lets get a couple up, and then start to express yourself......just don't forget your teammates.

So just to clarify what went on last night.

We draw 2-2 with some team - I don't remember who - and I think it was just me, Phat, and Dragonfly, though I could be wrong. Then I get a message from someone called badboys121, saying '4-2-2-2, what kind of a formation is that, you stupid fucking coon?' Of course he gets it back with both barrels, and replies constantly telling me I'm shit at FIFA, until it culminates in him asking for a rematch tonight at 10, 4v4, each playing 4-1-2-1-2, to find out who the best team is. I wouldn't mind but I pulled out the old twinkle toes and was about to put in Phat for a late winner when I was scythed down and their defender sent off.

I accept of course, but fuck am I playing the same formation as him, and we have a good mind to get our strongest team of as many as possible together and really give them a sound thrashing.

So the moral of the story is - everyone be on FIFA by 10. And bring headsets for extra humiliation. And Christ lads we can't be losing this one.

I'll be there. Was meant to be going to Club Air in Digbeth to see virtually all of my favourite progressive house/trance DJs but my plans fell through so I'll be raging as it is. Then there's Mass Effect 2 still not arriving so in general, I'm ready to kill.

We should play the formation that suits us with the number of people that suits us. Their problem if they lose, ours if we do. If we end up in a 4-1-2-1-2 I'm happy to be the CAM unless someone else wants it and I'm moved to RS or LS.

I'd like RM if we played 4-1-2-1-2. I always think we play better with 4 across the midfield.

I finish work at 9 so should be back with plenty of time to spare before this. Though won't they just quit if we have more than 4 people?

I'll probably be on all tonight, however if it's like it was last night I don't know if I'll bother, was so not fun. Think everyone's scared of us! :ninja:

On a positive note, that 10-2 win was a pleasure; I was really chuffed with the hat-trick I scored, Sweey's and Phatmann's goals were very neat too :D :smug:
