Barn, I'm disappointed in you. I expect better from you, this game is an abomination. Skill-less, pointless and actually worse than Dark Alliance. LotR deserves better than this putrid pile of crap.

Apparently Pandemic have said that in the online mode you can add 134 AI troops to the fray, 67 for each side. That will be fantastic, it will feel like a proper ruck then.

The graphics are also far too cartoon-esque.

I think the graphics are fine to be honest. Absolutely agree about the clones though, particularly with regards to the Orcs, which are obviously all very different in the films. No problem with Elves, Gondorians, Numernorians, Uruk Hai, etc, but I'd like to have seen a lot more Orc skins. Maybe they'll add more in the downloadable content, who knows. At least they change though depending on the level (there better be Moria Orcs in Moria). More (and better) classes would help fix this problem.

Pelennor Fields with Mumakil, trolls, Riders of Rohan, wargs, Nazgul and siege engines will be frankly insane. I just hope you can use Grond and actually besiege and enter Minas Tirith, but I don't see how that'll work since they are two separate levels.

I'm sure the full game will be more entertaining, I do not expect it to be better however.

BarnDoor, looking at the graphics in the likes of Assassin's Creed or Oblivion the LotR graphics do not compare, in the case of online graphics CoD4 is a league head.

True but I imagine there is more going on screen here. That and of course the developers are lazy cunts. As I said, its the music thing that really highlights this.

What can I say, I haven't played a LOTR game since Return of the King 5 years ago, I'll settle for this.

It's a good game but I'm finding it hard to kill people as the attacks seem to weak and half way through using your sword the character decides to kick them instead.

haha yeah that is true TH man, the attacks are weak....

but I agree with what Original said earlier about there being no skill involved, I agree with this 100% man, It just doesnt feel like I need to do much to kill people...

And the mages are ridiculously hard to kill, especially if you are an archer lol

From distance including a 'fire arrow', don't get me started on them.

If you're a warrior, remember to use your throwing axe before moving in to finish them off. It often helps if you're moving in teams, after all, this is a game about battles, where unity is vital.

Yeah thats another point, the unity doesnt seem like its there at all, it seems like everyones just doing their own thing... In the matches ive played there hasnt been any teamwork or anything

At one point, one of my own orc mages was trying to attack me, so he could go on the catapult thing!! What an arse!

I believe ballista is the term you're looking for. Unity is sometimes found wanting, but its great when you get a sensible team.

Yeah a sensible team can always win stuff, scouts are whack man! they die so quick
