barndoor, do you know if you have to be like major characters, or can you just be like regular soldiers? with lord of the rings games im sick of killin everyone with a headshot from legolas' bow lol i wanna be someone normal, with normal abilities lol

Will it use the battlefront engine? like when you die you respawn kinda thing?

For most of the game mate you are simply normal soldiers, which is why I'm looking forward to it. You can play as the major guys in special hero deathmatches, and in campaign mode if you string a certain number of kills together. I think certain heroes are specific to the battlefield in campaign mode - Gandalf at Minas Tirith, Faramir at Osgiliath, etc.

sweet! this game looks well good... i suppose a battlefront type game, but in the lord of the rings universe, would be a welcome addition to my game selection!!

How much of that trailer was actual in-game footage? I fear this could turn out like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance or Assassin's Creed...

Of course. I know it doesn't look perfect (some weird skins, too much magic and special effects) but its bound to be a good laugh.

As long as they don't guff up the PS3 version... or I might have to get it for the 360 a la Fallout...

It was 16 players (8 a side) if I remember. Could result in some epic action...

We'll have to try and get some sort of game together. I believe it is 16 people online; obviously we won't get that many from here, but some sort of ruck between one Balrog and loads of Hobbits seems fair.

How many people you get all depends on what console people play on, like fick might get it on xbox, and if you play on ps3, then, you ent gunna be playin together lol

A few things:

1) I'm never playing as a mage, why the fuck they put them in the game I'll never know, I just hope they don't ruin it.

2) Why have they made the Uruk Hai Beserker into a mage?

3) This level will be great with melee units

4) Boromir is not a playable hero. Absolute tragedy. They say there will be lots of good DLC, so I fully expect him and an Amon Hen level.
