The perfect season....

Can it be done???

I only ask because I was 10 wins from 10 when I went to the Mestalla and took the lead early on. Totally dominated the game but gave away a freekick about 35 yard from goal which Villa duely despatched. I then hit every single piece of woodwork and pulled save after save form Canziares so much so that for the last 10 mins my players were so tired that they were on reds (bars not arrows) and desperately trying to get a draw.

So how close have you got to a perfect season ?

I remember you doing this before mate and at the time I still had about 6 games to go and was still in all the cups. I have about 3 games left now and am nearly there.

Aye hence perfect ;) In all honesty it is a coop effort but does this still count? That is why I have not done much since you last asked.

Closest I got in a coop season was with Man City and we only drew with Chelski at home despite hammering them.

It does count but coop is easier I reckon.

Is it 1st season ? How much money do you have ?

I aint played it for ages but its a few seasons in and we are minted. We started off with the retards and made our own team up. Coop is a bit easier granted but you still get those frustrating games.

I managed to win the league by winning every match but did not take the league cup.

Got promoted and eventually managed to win every cup except that damn div2 cup (a blemish in barcelona's history). Why did konami remove that promotion fixture where the top 2 from the lower league went up against the bottom 2 from the higher one? Those matches were hectic.

I used to forfeit those matches and spend another season trying to win both titles. Gave you more time to up your player stats too.

My speciality seems to be the injury time winner. I have done it 4 times this season so far.

Including just then Giovanni Dos Santos' first goal for Barca. :D

Wasnt a perfect season but was the best i had --- Only conceeded 3 goals in the league division 1. As i had such a good team and so i was winning everything, my only challenge was to go through a full season without conceeding.

Aye, they were fantastic. I remember a game on PES2 I think, trying to get promotion to Division 2 i think, and I'm (Newcastle) winning on away goals to Aston Villa. 85th minute, and Nikos Dabizas manages to head the ball over Shay Given's head to gift Villa survival. Hence, £20 on a new controller.

My West Ham game was going great, 15 from 15 and getting ready for second half of season...i played Fulham and Boa Morte scored early, but i dominated, hit the post with Parker, Bowyer, Ashton and even Gabbidon...then i got hit on the break by Boa Morte again. That was a hell of a way to lose.

I have never had a perfect season, as every season i seem to muck up the first few matches and usually lose one or more of my first three games, i dont know why - however it does give me a challenge to get back on track!

i know what you mean. i have never had the perfect season. i tend to beat the top teams like 3-0, and then loose embarrasingly 2-0 to one of the bottom teams in my league. the thing that annoys me is that i always dominate those games too, and nothing will go in. oh well it makes the game more fun (not at the time though).
