Thinking of Buying PES 2013

Pro club is fifa's copy of 'become a legend' which was online on one of the previous pes's - Fifa then did their own take called virtual club or be a pro/pro club. This was the only mode I enjoyed online with fifa this year, Playing in drop in matches is pointless as everyone is playing for themselves, but playing with 10 friends for 'your club' is one of the most rewarding things I have experienced when playing a computer game (when you're playing well and cohesively that is) Unfortunately most of my team didn't understand that you need to keep your position and pass and move, so it became boring.

It was the best part of Fifa for me though. It's a shame that your player wasn't improved by playing properly, the challenges promoted selfish play.

Think I've changed my mind on my previous post. I can't believe how bad the game is at times. Players movements are all over the place. Even changing tactics the DM runs up with the forwards. Have tried everything I can to make him stay in position but he won't. Also there is a stupid stumble animation that makes you lose the ball and I find I seem to hit the post all the time, a bit to often really. Hope Pes 2014 is better think I will rent first. I'm glad I was able to trade my copy and get the same value I paid for it.

Here's my thoughts (copied from a previous thread)

I had FIFA 13 this year and really didn't like ultimate team. Master league online is the PES equivalent, and is much better IMO. I won the first division on FIFA13 after just 1 month and I hate the fact that you can just buy yourself a better team with real money. Ultimate teams transfer pricing is stupid aswell, you can get a team 3 teams of 80's for the same price as a 74 striker? It's none realistic and also not exciting. Pes's master league for me is more fun as it takes much longer to get a good team and you really feel like you've worked hard for it.

However FIFA's ability to be able to buy/sell players from your PC or mobile was a great addition, I did really enjoy that and think Konami could learn from that.

Pes has no lag or freezing issues for me where as fifa did.

Pes online games end up 2-1, 3-0, 1-0, 4-1 etc. Where as fifa's ended up 11-2, 8-7, 6-9, 9-2 etc - I didnt like that.

Pes isn't perfect, there is a problem with defenders ability to defend long balls and that has kinda made the online experience kinda 1 dimensional although with practice it's counterable.

Fifa's pro club and be a pro online really took Konami's idea and made a good thing out of it, I enjoyed that when it worked.

Fifa offline was also much better for me, I really enjoyed FIFA offline, however online sucks for FIFA and I sent it back after 6 weeks saying it didn't work as advertised and then I bought pes.

I'd had every other pes before and glad I came back, it is however far from perfect.
