Those Players.................

Name a couple of those players with good stats that play crap and people with crap stats that play well (besides youth and edited players)

Crouch - a player with terrible stats but plays very decent

Messi - another player was okay stats but has amazing dribbling

Gilardino - Im sure his stats are better than shevs but plays crap for me when using AC or Italy. Don't like him :no:

Raul - Has good stats but never does anything for me, just like real life

i'll name a few more when i can think of some, decided to make a thread i didn't think i'd seen before

gilardino has some of the best stats but is awful, pace is the number one factor on PES5, mitea has poor stats to start but can be effective. Same as babangida in the earlier editions, remember him !!!

Raul was immense for me before he retired (89 goals, 141 games) Injured a bit though. Mutu is unbeatable after 3 years on mine. I signed him as a backup, not looking at his stats. He had 95 for pace, 91 for all shooting stats.

I personally find Ronaldinho pretty hopeless in the game. Maybe it's just my style of play, but he does nothing for my team. For a player that's probably the most expensive and best in the game, he doesn't seem worth it.

I know what you mean...i cant use Gerrard at all, but get 15 goals per season in league alone with Lampard.

I bought Cahill as a back up for my ML team and he has ok stats too but is useless.

Podolski is my worst striker (by stats) but he is the one I always like to pick first.

When I buy Robinho, I expected a few goals. He's got good stats too. He hardly scores though and is much better in dribbling alone.

I found lampard hopeless in my ML im not sure if it was because his age and his stats went down but. His shooting power was lacking he got tackled all the time and couldn't time a challenge to save his life

Ashley cole.. another one with very medicore stats but is an amazing left back in my side

Agree with Gilardino being underwhelming - as is:-

Adriano - unbelievabley sluggish but has hammer of a left foot.
Gerrard - good at tackling, not much kop at shooting
Joe Cole - AI plays him like a dream, I pay over the odds for him and he's a shit-shot! (true to life then)


Better than stats:-

Park Ji Sung - great dribbling and middle shooting
Forlan - quite deadly (in contrast to his time at Man U)

Luca toni has poor stats but is very good and always gets into goal scoring positions

Yeah Gilardinho is shocking!

Rosicky has great stats too, but his shooting accuracy lets his whole performances down.
Rafa Marquez also disapointing too.

C Lucarelli and Luca Toni both awesome goal scorers with stats that arn't special

but Javier Zanetti is the pick, he could play well in any position.

i signed kuyt as a backup striker and his stats are quite so-so only.... but turned out to be one of the best strikers i have used in the game... his finishing is super lethal and still improving!!

only halfway thru the season in 1st division wif 25 goals to his name already.. awesome!!

Adriano is excellent, his shot power is probably his best stat.

Ronaldinho isn't as effective as he should be on it.

Martins has brillaint pace but no end product.

Dado Prso's stats are absolutely awful in-game, yet because of his height/weight he does well at holding the ball up and playing other people in, would be good as a target man I think...

Huntelaar=crap stats, can finish anything though...
Baros...reasonably good stats, always top scorer for me...in WE10 I played the International Challenge with Baros and overall(inc.qualifiers) he score 24!!
