Transfer Problem

Hi, sorry if this is a stupid/repeated question but i've searched and i can't find anything....

I'm in about the tenth year of ML in pre-season, and want to buy a player. I've offered amounts all the way up to the top amounts on the transfer and wages, over a couple of years (and lots of negotiation periods), but the negotiation still won't go through.

I've got 17 players in my squad, and I have no idea why the negotiation won't go.

It's the same with a defender that I want aswell.

Any suggestions?

Tim,

All depends on whether they want / their club wants to transfer them.

A player's liklihood to join you is rated by up to 3 stars - 3 stars meaning they are very likely to (with the right offer), 0 stars meaning you might as well not bother.

When you're viewing the player in the transfer screen, you can toggle between their salary and their star rating (off top of my head I can't remember the control, it's on autopilot in the brain...but I'm on Xbox anyway. Try a few things out!).

The star rating is determined by things like how many years they have left on their contract and where you're ranked in the Master League.

The quick search function will show you all players who have 3 star ratings.

It's also worth looking at the 'unbelonging' and 'other' groups as these are players who are much more likely to join.

2 star rating players may come to you but again depends on their contract situation, how good your team is and you may to make a big offer.

Obviously some of the big name players can be more difficult to prise away but it's not only them.

Hope that helps a bit.

u will need to check the star ratin. no stars=they won't leev their club for urs.
1 star=they would consider joinin ur club
2 stars=they would join ur club if the wage was acceptable. 3 stars=they would join ur club in an instant.

U CANNOT CHECK THE STAR RATING WHEN YOU ARE ON 4 STAR +. I take it Tim is on 4*+ as he is in his tenth season

I always thought it was 5* or 6* you couldnt check? Although I never did a Master League on 4*.
