Umbro instead of Adidas

Ive read that PES 3 will have Umbro as sponsor instead of Adidas, and i think thats bull..

I have nothing against UMBRO, but the Adidas ball would be better and more realistic..

Not sure about the ball yet.
Giving both as an option would be good. Maybe in the Shop?

There is a thread somewhere about manual replays and it has a picture of rivaldo doing a nice little turn, the adidas ball is on that screenshot.

Also WE7 features Zico holding the Ferenova ball in his hands. I doubt that they would then use all Umbro stuff. I figure it'll be the same deal as b4. Adidas boots and ball and Umbro kits.

but the screens we've seen from PES 3 has been with the UMBRO ball it seems...
the ones with the Adidas ball is from WE7

we7 has an adidas sponsor as it has a deal with the japanese football association (adidias sponsor japan). pes3 has an umbro sponsor because konami don't think the japenese license will help the game sell in europe and adidas won't sponsor the game without the japanese license. that's why you won't see pes3 with an adidas sponsorship.

you may consider it to be just boots and a ball.....
but when the game is unlicenced and the appearences of players take on more importance
having boots that are like the ones worn by that player becomes a big part of the appearence...and since not many of the 'top' players wear umbro anymore adidas would be a far more useful licence....
this is why getting umbro whilst WE gets adidas is slighty annoying...
Hopefully though the new pes will have so many fake boot lookalikes that the licence will be unimportant

And from the pictures already released PES3 looks like it will be so good looking that the boots will have to be given an overhaul to keep up with the rest of the game....

It will be the best football game ever!

I've recently started playing WE6FE for the first time, and that little Fevernova really is cool!

it's great watching it spin through the air when you hit a curler. But with the crappy Umbro ball it has no distinguishable features, which makes it look pure white, making the design pointless...

if u use a patch such as winning calcio, you can use the fifa ball and it looks much better. try it.
