US release of Winning Eleven 8?

Hey. First post here. I've only just discovered this incredible series of games with my acquisition of WE6I so I'm not very familiar with the timetable for release of these games in the States. I stumbled upon the 7th installment and was not dissappointed. So i'm wondering if anyone has any idea when WE8I is set to come out in the US. Even a general time would do me good as i have no idea when my last two editions came out.

WE6i was on March 11, 2003. WE7i was on February 10, 2004. So WE8i will probably be around those months. so first quarter of 2005 sounds safe to me. ;D

As much as I hate waiting, this seems like the consensus. I wish Konami would give us a simultaneous release with the British market and then give us WE8I later. I would DEFINITELY buy both. How hard is it to convert the same damn game from PAL to NTSC?

i would love the idea of WE8 then WE8i. but we only get one and its WE8i but without the feature of WE8i Japanese version.

Thanks for the info. I was worried it wouldn't be until next year. Kind of a shame to find out that's most likely true. I'll have to quench my thirst with we7i for a few more months i guess.

why wont you just import it? thats what i did and i used a slide card + swap magic to play the import. but its kind of hard to play ML since everything is in Japanese.

For me the lower cost and understandable language is worth the wait. I also have no knowledge of ps2 adaptation although i understand that info can be found on this site. The main reason is pretty much that i am cheap and lazy and that we7i is definitely a good enough game to last me until the appearance of we8i. I still think it's cool that a soccer/football game of this quality is available in the US, even though this game ruined every other sports game i own because of it's quality. Used to think ea had it down, but now the new nhl and madden games are coming out and i couldnt give two shites.

WE has always been a great football game. WE has the edit feature that FIFA dont, plus i just love the shoes in WE.

the last FIFA game that had an editor was FIFA 2001 lol...........the new one's are shite too ,.....the players heads are too big and there's no 'flow' in the gameplay whereas WE8 is a smooth game apart from the slowdown which will probably be fixed by PES4 hopefully..................

P.S. to the guy thats not wanting to import any games ...why dont you import PES4 when it comes out so you have an englsih version of the game ?

what do you mean stupid boots. they arent even boots. no logo or name brands. just shoes with cleats. no nike, adidas, puma, etc... when FIFA have all those licenses. man they sure waste those licenses.
