i just wanna know would i be able to buy a us ps2 and get we7 for it and if so what do you rekon the price would be.

its just i dont wanna risk my current ps2 by modding in just incase it breaks.

I don't know about a US one but Rebus is going for a Jap PS2.
Probably the simplest option could be to buy a pre-chipped UK PS2. Current price for that would be about £210 (inc delivery and guarantee - www.thebarras.co.uk).
If this is about the same price as the others, it's probably a good alternative.

on an e-bay auction you could purchase the new jap ps2 which i have mentioned in the forums somewhere (SCPH 50000) which has the new dvd capabilitites and can read dvd-rws etc. its available on a 'buy it now' option for only $264 = approx 161 GBP.

zygalski if i bought a pre chipped uk ps2. would i be able to buy winng elven series games? and would they be copies or would they be the original? (which i doubt) also would i be able to get a us chip. coz i rekon i would struggle on the jap coz i cant read it. LOL

well coolcraigd, the point of having a modded ps2 is so that you can enjoy USA GAMES AND JAPAN GAMES original and copies on your ps2. so u will be able to play winning11 6 games on your ps2. about the jap writing, you can apply a translation patch.
