Vetical Sync problem?

I know this has been mentioned a few times but I searched and couldn't find anything so i thought i'd ask.

I always seem to have a sort of 'tear' of the image horizontally when i play. I used to have this problem but someohow I fixed it but now i've been fucking around with updates etc it's back. :(

I've tried all the vertical sync settings on my graphics card and it has no effect.

Did anybody ever find out why it was happening on some peoples systems?

Cheers

tearing could be a graphics card driver issue, sometimes is. try reinstalling your latest video card drivers.

also, did you save an old file of your stuff before you edited it...you could test with that and see if there is any tearing with that.

Try changing compatability of the PES.exe to Windows 98. I had tearing issues even with a Radeon 9800 XT but now I have no probs at all even on Max res and high detail.

I've tried Catalylst 3.9, 3.10 and now DNA 3.10. No difference.

It wasn't a change to PES 3 I had made between it working and not working. It was my graphics card settings I had been changing.

right click on pes3.exe then go to properties. THen you see a tab "compatability" Then check run this program in compatability mode, windows 98/Me.

Oh, then in 2k, there shouldnt be much problem should there? Actually I havent heard anyone talk about 2k...but i dunno how good 2k is for gaming....more of a network/office OS like Windows NT.
