WE8 Mistakes

the other day i was playing against my brother and when it showed the tunnel both teams were real madrid when one of them shouldve been man utd

Not sure if this has been answered in here.

It's not a bug. It's the whole team in the tunnel. The other team is already on the pitch.

true. and it was random (or dependant on the stadium?) in the previous versions. most people probably had the 'opening scene' turned off when in master league.

now unless you see specific players in the wrong uniform on one side of the tunnel, then it's a bug. i dunno, i don't have WE8 yet.

I go Henry, and he gets outran up the wing by some shity defenders from Bolton?..wtf is this?..

Doesnt matter who I go, or who I play, the defender ALWAYS outruns me, and before you say, the form arrows are all red..

And what also is wierd, out of playing for around 7 hous in total, I have only scored TWO shots, by shooting from the ground. Every goal is a cross, or a penalty.

It seems to me, that the best players, aka Henry and Shevchenko cant shoot for shit, but average players like Prso and Emerson have better shots?..

The crosses are mint, but with some games I play, I could do about 10+ crosses into the box in 1 half, maybe more, and every time it will be cleared..

I dont think the stats of the players mean anything, because if Henry was around 95 speed, and a defender on about 70, surely Henry would skin his ass, no?..

And if Shevchenkos shot acc and power were around 92+, surely his shots would be better than the likes of Emerson with shitty stats?..

Plus the fact when you walk, WALK! into the ball, it goes harder than any shot I have seen, wtf?..

But still..its an amazing game, I am used to the rip-off factor Konami put into there games, its the only way they can make the CPU win init?..

I don`t know the way you play it..but for me I aswell play with Henry or Sheva it`s very hard for CPU to catch me.. It also depends how you configure your teams condition. CPU will probably give you normal and give itself the red arrow. So far for me that isn`t the problem.

I played again last night for a further 5 hours and could still only score mainly diving headers, i have waited till the last minute as well to press the shoot button but the player just wont volley the damn thing, no matter how low the is it always goes for the diving header, really annoying...

yep totally agree with you there mate. In pes3 (I'm not sure about we7i) the volleys were perfect. Nothing needed to change. They looked so good and so real it almost felt like you were hitting it yourself. They were a major positive and kept me coming back to try and score one. You never got tired of them.
Unfortunately this is something that we8 is lacking. I havent yet seen a player go for an overhead or scissor, but I have seen the new animations for bicycles and they look shocking. The player just seems to fall on his back.

Also how is everyone finding the new shooting style and player movements. Do you like them?

Well, in friendlys I always make both teams have red arrows..

Even when I do that sprint + R1 past a defender with Henry, the defender always gets in front of the ball before I do..

that really weird cos my defenders cant catch henry!!! and Owen as well .. they always get stuck behind him .. and can never ever move ahead of him ..

WE8 controls are really really sluggish.. slow to respond etc .. i keep trying to do tight turns but its impossible..

WE8 also seems more arcade orientated.. i have been playing winning for a very very long time.. and having just started on WE8 .. i got my ass kicked by my friend who dosent play winning at all ! i would have OWNED him if it was WEi7 but with him using france.. henry just gets the ball and runs for the end zone.. and he scores..

i agree with the volley problem.. in winning 7 there was not problem watsoever.. but the volleys in WE8 is crap. the headers are always going OVER!! its so bloody hard to score headers cos they are never on target

the corners are excessively hard to take as well .. putting it on the middle bar makes the ball go over the players heads...

oh well konami.. if you do not fix these problems .. looks like im sticking to WEi7

When I shoot and scored (when the ball cross the Goal line) quickly press start
Then chose the replay

Every time you replay the replay
Its account goal for you

Remember when the ball cross the line you must too fast & Quickly when you press start

I think it’s a big mistake from Konami

Nope. It´s not even necessary to play with Henry. I play a season with Feyenoord and have a player called Leonardo in there, no defender catches him up if he´s in normal form or better. You must be doing something wrong.

antother thingthey messed up on was after you transfer a player to a club from a country you cant get rid of him back to the country so you have to transfer him to another club. they should have a free player section where you ttransfer asll the players who dont play anymore.

Very strange, is there a new run button I am mising out?..just pressing R1 to run, you cant even see Henry having 95 speed, more like 60.

I've always taken a couple of weeks to get used to the new response time of the game, but I'm sure we'll find that in a few weeks it'll seem more realistic. As for tight turns I thought they were so unrealistic so I'm glad they've made those near impossible.

So you want them to make it like WEi7. Konami are moving forward, don't live in the past. I'm afraid I have only played it for an hour in this import shop in Town, but I can tell they have made improvements and you have to work hard to get satisfaction from the game.

I got WE8 yesterday and I have only just had a chance to play a match so I won't comment on the gameplay, but what I will comment on is the graphics and in particular, the official kits. I played as Real Madrid against Inter just to check out the kits and to tell you the truth the were f&%¤¤% awful!! They were badly designed and blurry and generally shit. Most of the well respected kitmakers around on Evo-Web etc would have done a far better job than the people at Konami! It really was a let down as I thought that this new addition would mean that we would only need to insert kits for the English league.

Bring on PES4 I say!

I really dont get you people. Okay, maybe its possible to use this bug (I call it a cheat), but you really dont HAVE to use it. IMO it doesnt affect the game at all. Whats the big deal if it would be possible.

i just wanted to say that thgere are 2 davis' in fulham. now whch one do i transfer. they have the same stats but one is T Davis. this is pissing me off now. how many more duplicates are there going to be!


EDIT: i think they are differnct players as they have a differenty appearance but they have the same stats which is bull shit!

WE8 = Currently the best WE game ever made. However it seems to be full of minor bugs which can be avoided in proper matter. I think KONAMI really rushed with making WE8. Why didn`t they take more time and double-check everything to see if there`s any bugs before releasing the game. IMHO, I think Konami knew about these bugs. It would be a good thing if everyone, every single PES/WE fan on every single PES/WE board starts to write to Konami and complain. Then they might listen.

Got the game yesterday. Its in Japanese. The commentary is hilarious when I take a shot from a dangerous area cause they start spazzing out. Amazing improvement from 7. The loading times are abit annoying but I can live with it. The subsitiution movie is a good idea but they gotta make the players look 'real' rather than horny dogs. Some of the new celebrations are cool like jumping over the boards but I miss some of the old celebrations from 7 as kissing the ring etc etc. The first touch aspect and ball control makes the game more realistic and technique is becoming a huge factor now. The moves and animations are much more realistic too as you can see the guy try to compensate the insane demands that you put on him when he recieves the ball. The passes seem a bit too easy as a ground pass becomes a through :triangle: pass just outside of the box but that is how the strikers try to do it in the game.

I think Konami did really well and I can't wait for the offical 'moves' sheets to be made by someone on the board for the game. It seems like theres gonna be alot more than 7.
