i have a webcam which id like to use to record my goals on pes, as i know some people do.

ive tried and the quality isnt too good but its better than nufink, all i wanna know is what format to save the files as?

i have a .wmv file here, not sure if it works...

All my goals are saved as .movs, which is a real player format and allows you to watch them on the webpage (see my sig)

The quality is fairly high but so is the size of the files

If you convert them to Avi files with a program like Win MPG Video Convert or something similair,
the quality is not so good, but the filesize is smaller

Its probably the best to use if you have 56k, which you do

And dont wanna upload 2mb video clips :)

EDIT
oogh! just watched it and that quality is nasty

get some vid editing equipment like divx and try sort it out, reduce the size and that

and save em as something better- try a .mov

(bear in mind theres mpg1 format and mpg2 - not sure the difference of which is better but id experiment)

oh and on another note dannyboy using mpgs, try saving in real player - im not sure why that goal opened in windows media player

suspicious, i dont like it

Are there any guides out there for the complete noob on how to video capture from console? What should i do? Record it first to Video, than plug the video into the comp? HOW?

I don't have a web cam, there must be some way to get it on video tape, and then somehow over to the comp?!

If you want it onto video tape, you should be able to connect the scart cable of the PS2 into your video which then goes to your TV and then press record on an external channel setting. I haven't tried this but that's what they say to do in a PS2 magazine when they want you to send in tapes of stuff.

I sure do have extra USB ports, USB 2.0 too. ;) i know i said i was a noob, but i meant noob to PES3 video capture and transfering TV images to comp in general..

What i'll do is record them to tape and see if there's a way to get TAPE to COMP.

How do people normally do it then?

Actually, i do want it to be easy :)

.. but i've seen some real good quality captures and didn't think they were from webcam, they looked almost like they were fed from the TV straight to the comp.

maybe on the pc version we'll be able to send reply files to each other which we can view in the game.

I use Hypercam to record an avi file is very easy to use ...jjust press F2 to start recording and press again F2 to stop.
Then I use Vrtuadb to compress the file and thats it.
Both programs are small and easy to download.

Can you capture video clips on PS2 using a digital camera? (Using the video mode).
