i will be watching this with interest, it has puzzled me for ages. i usually imagin it as SWP but the S swapped for a C to signify CENTRE

It definately means Sweeper, but I have sod all idea what the letters stand for... Central sWeeper Position?

Another thing, I wish Konami would call Side Backs "Fullbacks"

I think Konami are just idiots who think Sweeper is spelt CWP. Then again i could be the idiot and just don't know what CWP means :faceplm:

i toyed with the idea they were CENTRAL WING PLAYERS but thats a big contradiction.
i think maybe in japanese the translation of covering centre back turns into central watching player? no? didn't think so

On the topic of sweepers, are there any of them around in real football. Ive always known them to be quite technical, can pass the ball out and can start some attacks as well as reading the game quite well.

What teams use the system these days?
