What's the point of MASTER LEAGUE if???

Ok..................If at the beginning of your Master league you can add the best players in the world to your team! Doesn't that defeat the purpose of what Master league is all about?? If I had the best players on my squad I would not lose a game?? correct?? Therefore making me able to collect points needed to pay my players at the end of my season and going forward??

Am I missing something here because I am staring at a dream squad in front of me thinking "I can't lose with this team"!!!

Or does it mean even if I win every game I will not have enough points to be able to afford to pay my players?? Is this correct??

Give yourself 50,000 points as well. Then you really can't lose can you.

But then again kinda defeats the object of Master League doesn't it?

Stick with default squad and try to build them into a European force i'm sure you would get more from the game this way.

It gives players flexibility so they can do what they want, you're not forced to use all the best players.

Getting the best players isnt all that great, I tried it and my season results read:
Legends XI-
P14
W 3
D 4
L 7
pts 13 position = 6th

It isnt just me being crap, they were really bad!

But.......If I was to go with this dream squad and win all my games will I be able to even pay all these players at the end of the season??

I feel like the game should have made some sort of cap or restriction on being able to get these types of players at the beginning of your season.

I mean....I have a better team right now than most Division 1 teams. To me this just takes away from the purpose of Master League being for building a squad of scrubs and then as you get better making deals to solidify a more competitive team.

Well it just comes down to adding the numbers. I believe you get 800pts for a win and 20pts for each goal you score in division 2. You play 14 league games plus a possible 5 or 7 division 2 cup matches(can't remember off the top of my head). On top of all that you can win the player of the season award, leading goalscorer and leading assists awards, and those all give at least 2000pts. So just figure out if you go undefeated and are able to win all these awards, will it surpass your wages. And again, as others have said this, it's just an available option, you don't have to start with all the best players in the world on your team. In fact, it is much more rewarding if you start with the default team and slowly build your team up into a superpower.

Well.......I'm just gonna do like I intended from the beginning and go with the default roster. I just wanted to see if the game would allow such a thing and I have to admit that I am a little dissapointed in that. Master league should have only 2 options. Either you use an already existing club or use the default club with the options to build as you move up the ladder.

More options just allow for a wider range of game types for different gamers. Each gamer can decide which way he/she wants to play the game.

IMHO, building a ML team using default is very challenging and a ton of fun. Just don't overspend!!
