It is all up to you. Here is my thing though, you can spend five mins. downloading an optionfile and using a max drive or spend hours upon hours editing it all yourself.

Spending £10 and 10 minutes against spending weeks in edit mode (just to do it all again for the next game). Easy choice for me.

No there is not.
The kind of people who have problems with their option files are the kind of people who pull them out when the game is saving, like it tells you not to do. Never had any problems here since PES3.

It looks right to me. You just need to make sure that it comes with the disks that will run on your PS2. The european max drive comes with small disks that say "for use on European Console" so check with them that it will work on your console. Also some people have problems if they have a slim PS2.
