Which PES3 to buy?

I gave my PES3 original to my brother.
And since I'd like the whole collection, I'm buying it again.

So which cover shall I go for?
The original black one or the newer Platinum edition?

My PES1 and PES2 are both not Platinum.
(Did those two even go platinum?)
And my PES2 has a blue box - is that what most people have?

BTW, it's good to see so many fifa games in the second-hand areas of the games shops

SSX3 and SSX Tricky are both DVDs in black cases.
GT3 has a red one and PES2 is blue. I dunno.

yeh definetly the original case.
i have done the same as you Zyg, i have all the games from the start of this series
sometimes i go back and play with Ronaldo and his 9 speed lol or really far back when they didnt have the names.
there classics and you have to keep them

What sort of prices are the various shops/mail order companies charging? In theory, the original pre-platinum copies should be selling for £19.99 like the platinum copies. But im sure ive seen some places selling the original for £39.99. What a rip-off.

It has to be the original one, i kinda wish i'd kept my old pes and pes2 now but i traded them in when i bought the next one in the series and thats probably what i'll do for pes4 too...

Zy, I don't think that colour of the box show's whether it is a CD or DVD. Half of my DVD's have either white (MGS2), blue, red or black box, and CD's like Virtua Tennis 2 has blue box as well, PES1 is black, and PES2 and PES3 (DVDs) are blue. No pattern whatsoever.

Still get the original PES3

well every game i own works with the pattern....

cd = black
dvd = blue

im fairly certain its what sony would like game manufactuers to do... but at the end of the day its up to them

i chose platinum, for one reason, when u go through ur collection, it would show how pes grew til it got platinum an indication of the success of PES series. hoping PES4 goes platinum too
