not to be taken seriously

Done to spec does not mean done with a devkit, it means done to what they think it can do, aka theoretical.
I didn't mean to selective read that. I just thought that "done to spec" was said by Phil Harrison "the Sony Salesman" because he didn't really know how to state that the dev kits at the time weren't the same as what was expected in the final PS3?
That was not the case when I played it on my PS2 or any other PS2 for that matter. The game was jaggie filled just like every PS2 game. God of War is the only game as a whole to come close to the built to spec PS2 demos before the PS2 release.
I'm not a "notice jaggie" kind of guy, I rarely play games on my PC and I don't think I have ever said the term "anti-aliasing" out in public. Was anti-aliasing even a phrase when the PS2 was released? Have you done the "Soften" picture on God of War, is that AA? because it looks rubbish.
As for PS3 I think the technical issues they had with the PS2 may not be the same because they've got a graphics card from Nvidia. The CPU sounds like it could be a beast, I don't think anyone really knows how good for a games console it is because it's so different to what was expected.
Anyway I want to play games like Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, KillZone, I8 and MGS4 if they are as close to the footage we've seen upto now. To me the difference between MGS1 and MGS3 is the same as KillZone1 to KillZone2. If they don't look/play like that and they are just like fine tuned PC games I won't bother playing them, I know I said it was all about the games but I do want to see some real progress in the games experience, advanced physics is what I really want.
