Will PES4 be on the PC?

I think whoever posted that gamecube/xbox are more powerful than any PC in existance got a little bit carried away with themself..however, when a new console is released it is generally more 'powerful' in game terms than the PCs around at that time, though PCs quickly catch up and then pass the consoles as PC technology is always improving. The point about the cpu speed (which may have been what the person was trying to get at) is that you can't compare a gamecube (with a 300mhz cpu) to a PC with a 300 mhz cpu, as consoles are designed and built as a much more cohesive unit than PCs, and so don't rely on pure processing power as much as PC's do.
Also, some of the stuff in that article that BarryFell posted, although not actually wrong, wasn't as detailed as it should have been.

I Still Say Any Pc That Post 2002 Still Has The Potential To Be Better Than Any Console!! If U Look At The Comparisons Between What Pc's Do And What Consoles Do U Will See What I Mean!! Consoles Have A Very Simple Bios System To Control Hardware.... Pc's Is More Complex Devices Attached To Consoles Are Simple Compared To The Many Devices A Pc Has To Deal With!!

I think what he was getting at, when said consoles are better, is that the consoles only need half the processing power that a pc needs to run a game efficiently. Obviously a console doesnt need to take up system resources to run an OS..usually which require alot of mem to do so. Also, on a pc when running a game...there are still operations running and draining mem and cpu power, therefore, even a 2ghz cpu with 512mb ram and a 128 graphics card could have problems running a high end game. On a console, you could have a 300mzh cpu and less ram...and it'll do the job.

Where the consoles lose out however, is resolution wise, it can't live with the pc. Also the graphics solution is not upgradable. An x-box runs a revampt geforce 3 ti card. Which compared to an FX or Radeon, is nothin. Therefore you end up with less textures, poorer (note, i said poorer and not poor) anti aliasing and generally less detail.

So there is no simple answer to which is better, if you want pickup and play, multiplayer, less hassle/bugs then a console is better for gaming. If you dont mind putting up with bugs, upgrading hardware, and the hassle of installing, better graphics etc, then cpu is a better platform.

My son has been playing everyone of KONAMI football games on concoles for years, from ISS Pro on the PSX1 all the way through to PSE3 on the PSX2, he's hardly played anything else, he's a master. I went out and got PSE3 for my PC without telling him, i installed it, patched it, updated the kits, stadiums etc, then i put everything on high settings, and set the resolution so it run as smooth as he's PSX2. Knowing he would be returning from school around 3pm, i set up a game PC V PC and went off into another room and watched telly. A few minutes later i heard my son come home through the back door, all went quite for a few minutes, then he came bursting into the room where i was sitting, and called me all the names under the sun, and he says he hates me now....lol. He will hate me even more when i get a PSX dual shock pad adaptor for my PC, but i've told him ill get a 2 pad adaptor so he can play against me, he says he wont....lol, but how can he resist, when he's team, ARSENAL look so good, and so does there home stadium....:).

PSE3 on concole = cool but rough looking around the edges.

PSE3 on the PC = mind blowing...:).

What i would like to see now implanted into the game, is LAN and internet capabiltes, as well as an option of being able to add more 3rd party stadiums, as i'm a 3d modeler, textures and animator, and would love to make my home towns football stadium and add it to the game..:).

yep kinda why im partial to the PC

heck my friends wont play me in football games very often and when they do they are like 'lets see if i can score today' or 'lets see how many i can get sent off'

so usually i'm playing alone so i'll just take the purdy graphics of the PC over the multiplayer ability and the 42" TV of the console :D

PES4 I would think should be out on the PC. As I said before the PC version has sold very well and unfortunately has been copied and downloaded illegally very well too! I think it would be a big shame to make PES3 on the PC a one off......

If Konami bring out PES 4 on PC, then surely they MUST put in online play. It would bring the PES community together and the prospect of online competitions would be superb. Also I have a pretty decent PC, Athlon 2400+, 1 Gig Ram, Radeon 9800XT Gfx Card, and I still got slowdown. But after reading that switching PES.exe compatability to Windows 98 I have no slowdown at all.

Also, has anyone else noticed this. After applying Wolf's latest patch, when a game gets played at Olympic stadium, the stadium that appears in game is Anfield but the ground is completely empty (no crowd). If not I must of messed up the stadium updates, lol.

I Think You Have There Are Some Updates Available Which Do Screw Up The Game In Various Ways.. I Had To Reinstall Mine Because The Andy Epl Patch Stopped My Pro Evo 3 From Loading!

The Anfield stadium update has written itself over the Olympic Stadium. If i play at Anfield it is still the original Anfield stadium. When playing at Olympic stadium it is the new updated Anfield but with empty stands and the ad boards are positioned in Row 4 of the stands. I'm trying the Wolf/Andy EPL patch to see if that can sort it without having to redo the whole lot again.

I tend to just be a little careful when adding updates. All I have at the moment is Leo's super patch 2, the champions league music, and some custom balls. Think thats enough...all else out there seems like they need testing first.

I've re-applied the new Wolf/Andy patch but i have left out the Anfield and Olympic stadium updates until i get more feedback from other users to see if there is a problem with it.

It isn't a duplicate, they have added more kits, i.e Wolves, Middlesbrough etc. All English Premier League clubs are in it now.

Cool Update imo.
