Winning the ball when coming toward you in the air

Positioning the player who is being passed to.

I have WE8I on xbox, and when my goalie for instance kicks the ball downfield the name of the player who will be closest to the ball when it lands appears, many times the ball will not be kicked directly to the player, so how do you steer the player closer to the ball while it's in the air, this also serves for long passes too.

Well then press the corresponding button on the Xbox controller, which I believe is the black button, or which ever one is the secondary dribble function.

sometimes if u hit black button plus r1 at the right time you can catch the end of thru balls that r kicked to far past you and lunging for diving headers/volleys. timing has to b good tho
