Besides the AI up/down grading your level depending on your position on the chart. Your staring 11 have a lot of second string players in there.

Right now I'm playing Milan. Guess who's on the bench:

- Ronaldinho
- Kaka
- Pato
- Gatusso

I'm playing AMF so i'm in need of a top striker or ss ( because there playing 4-3-2-1..how can Boriello be a starting striker when you have to players on the bench. ....I can play the ss or striker position WAYYY BETTER than Boriello and have one of them fill in my place as an AM..but no they leave a weak ass player in there...that can score even if the goallie rolled the ball on to him and moved aside...

So how come the AI's benching these top playeres for mediocre ones..

do u mean if a player is surspened or u buy a new player they take out a crappy player from the reserves and put them in the first team even if they dont play in that position

I guess it's about BAL where you don't have the control over the starting eleven, dan80.

Well, to be honest I have no idea why does it happen, all I can say is that I'm playing for Chelsea, we're 1st in the league and the starting 11 is like Cech - Ashley Cole, Terry, Carvalho, Bosingwa - Mikel, Deco, Ballack - C. Ronaldo, me, Rooney. Guess that's about the best squad the AI could set up. Throw in Lampard/Essien depending on form and voila. Might it be the form in your case, or just a high difficulty level? I don't know. Just so you know, the AI actually CAN throw out a good squad.
