Although this is my first post ever I can confidently say that I'm no newbie or inexperienced dude of this game ! :no:
Almost all my expectations are crushed after I started to play PES 2010 on PS3. I was hoping something much better than that, especially after playing "THE OTHER FOOTBALL GAME 10" for a week.
Here are the subjects that really annoy me :realmad:;
-An Artificial Intelligence with no intelligence at all ! What kind of a football gameplay is that ? Every team plays with laser one touch pass in the midfield and defence (even they are not Barcelona) but ultra stupid in front of goal ! Soemtimes just walk out with the ball under small pressure or none. Especially on B.A.L matches. But addition to that, opponents can WALK with the ball in to the box to score a goal and defender just looking at him or take a windy walk in park with him. (no challange or tackle!)
-Modarate atmosphere and same commentary since 2 years !
It was the same on PES 2009 but I was hoping that it would be much different on 2010 but I was wrong. The game simply still doesn't have the stadium atmosphere (lights,colors,chants,music etc.) to get you going for the match.
The commentator Trevor Brooking is a legendary EPL man with large sense of humor and intelligence about the game but it seems that KONAMI has taken least advantage of him. They didn't even change most of the sentences used during the match,but just added some new ones. Doesn't feel alive, too robotic and lots of mistakes.
For exmple,a cut of scream like; "NOW A SH" when the shot was blocked.....:shocking:
-Unchanged menu and so little added. It looks like KONAMI has scared to change things this year because everyone loved 2009. They didn't even change the menu (content not the look) and so little things are added like player index. It just doesn't feel like new game.
-Same BGM in the menu that we used to listen 2 years ago !
-Skill moves and entertainment of the game. I'm glad with the Player Index because it expands the editing zone of the players (like us
)) but The CPU controlled player DON't perform any of these tricks and actually there is no trick to perform anyway. There are some additions on skills but i don't think they are useful during the match or artisticlly enough for the Beautiful Game excitement (Joga Bonito)
-No new face building features or hairstyles or facial hairs etc. KONAMI wants us to build the game I guess :angry: and I think they got used to it so they decided not even a single addition to edit player face section. Physical and head features are exactly the same !
So sad... There were lot of difference between PES 6 and PES 2008 and 2009. Right now, almost nothing....
I love PES because I can create lots of things like Classic Player. I had my own option files with 300 classic players since years (Thanks to Krook and others) which I enjoy playing more than others. But there must be a reason why I paid 75 Euros for this game and didn't keep playing the PES 2009 and so sadly I didn't find any reasons yet.
I'll keep playing and try to find it
