I might be about to buy PES2008, the North American version, for the PS2, but going off what most people have written here, I might save my money. But here are my least favourite things about the North American version of PES6 on PS2 (a game I play incessantly, so they obviously don't annoy me that much). Please tell me they've been fixed in the PES2008 on PS2, European or North American:
Your players slide-tackling without you controlling them, always resulting in fouls.
Going 2 up against a team makes them throw everyone forward (usually entailing bringing on an extra striker) and leaving huge gaps in defence.
Goalkeepers being unable to handle soft, placed shots (shoot + R2).
Free-kicks - touching the ball for a second player to shoot always results in a soft shot if the ball rolls across the second player's body before he shoots ie. if he's right footed and the first player is on his left.
The rest of the gameplay's fine. As for non-gameplay stuff:
Master League should have 20 teams per league, or at least the option to have 20 teams.
Negotiatians - you should be told why an offer is rejected (OK, I know this one hasn't been fixed).
