yet another max drive problem........HELP

my problem is...

i've just brought action replay max evo edition from play.com
with it i got:

-the usb max drive thingy
-2 cds 1 for the ps2 and 1 for the pc "media creator software")

the problem i have is that i cannot load save from the internet to my max drive usb... it will copy over but does not load up from my ps2 action replay disk: i can not un-compress it it is no even there!!!

in the manual it says that i should "run the Memory Manager PC software." i have not even got this (i have already loaded up the "media creator software")


please, please help me!!!!!!

p.s i wish to download Pro Evo 3 PAL (if that makes a difference!!)

Have you read the Max Drive problems sticky thread yet?
There is a good post on how to transfer files there.

You are supposed to uncompress the file on your PC before copying it to your max drive. Then use the Uncrush option to transfer it to the mem card.

thanks for the reply maybe my problem is that i need to unzip the files...
but i get files that are ".max" so i dont know the problem. i can get 'data' on to the MD but on the PS" it wont read this it says that there is nothing there.....

i have dowwnloaded the software... in the book it says that there are two screens but i connot see two screens.....

it says that i can click on a '+' sign that will take me to something called powersaves... but i can find no such thing.

have i got all the software that i need????

any help????!!!!

1. Install the max drive PC disk onto your PC.
2. Insert the max drive into your PC USB slot. This will appear in My Computer.
3. Uncompress the downloaded file and copy it to your max drive.
4. Put the max drive into your PS2 and put in the max drive ps2 disk. Let the software load and press X.
5. Go to the max drive and click to tick the file that is there. Go right and select "Uncrush" to the memory card. The file should copy over.

If you have any problems with any of these steps, please be more precise where and if you can, post a screenshot or a photo of the tv screen (images can be uploaded to www.imageshack.us).

i have spent 20 pound for nothing!!!!

the main problem i have is getting info to be read: i.e i can get the info/data on the max drive it is even a .max file the main problem is for it to come on screen on my ps2 for me to uncompress.

on the screen (TV) it says that there are no files on the max drive. but i have already put these files on there!! i can see them on the usb (MD) in "my computer."

does the max drive support windows xp?

I use my max drive with 3 different pcs with XP and they all work fine.
I'd suggest you try using a different USB port in both the pc and ps2 to see if that makes any difference. Possibly, unplug something else from another pc usb and try that.

okay i have just tried putting in "endgame" on the max drive.

it got on the max drive but still i cannot access them from the the actionreplay ps2 cd.


this is starting to get on my nerves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do a search to find PES3 option files which were posted a while ago.
You use Winzip or WinRAR to unzip files. To unzip, just double click to open the zipped folder and then copy the .max file and then paste it into the destination folder.
