i really don't understand how they can say on the WENB team that the 360 version is looking sharper and more responsive etc than the ps3 . . .not that i'm doubting them because they are at the GC in Germany and i'm not but i just can't get my head around it . . . . i had a 360 and sold it because the ps3 came out and it's meant to be more powerful and more capable etc than the 360 . . .so i bought one. i assumed that when october/november came around and all the decent games started to come out for the ps3 it would definately be worth it . . . . .the fact that a console that is like 2 years old can produce a better performance than a brand spanking new SONY console is beyond me tbh. is this down to sony or konami? what i want to know is who's fault is it? who hasn't put the effort into this . . . sony or konami?

That's nonsense teb. OK, so the PS3 only came out in the UK in March of this year, about 1 year and 4 months after the 360, but it was no more than a year behind the 360 elsewhere in the world. More to the point, it was delayed by about a year thanks to manufacturing problems, the actual processing and graphics technology was set in stone at around the same time as the 360s.

In terms of grunt, the 360 is better at some things, the PS3 at others. Over all they are much of a muchness. Which is why in general, most games don't look significantly better on either platform.

I bought my 360 on launch day Nov 2005, and my PS3 on launch day March 2007. To this day, there's only been two PS3 games worth playing - Motorstorm and Warhawk. Yet again, over the next couple of months I have a lengthly list of titles to buy for the 360, but am currently hoping that PES pips it on the PS3 and I'll pick up the PS3 copy. FYI - the PS3 launched in Japan on November 2006.

Fact is, both consoles are about equal on power, so generally games will run better on the originating console, rather than the console receiving the port. Since the PS3 is tougher to code on, it's likely to be the one getting the ports this gen, as its quicker to get things running on the 360. And since it's not got a real power advantage, the PS3 version will quite often be the lesser version, as is the nature of ports - usually only a significant performance advantage yields a better port.

So in answer to your question, the PS3 is not, and was never meant to be a more powerful alternative to the 360, just a similar alternative to the 360. The primary development platform will always have the strongest release - hopefully we'll see some more PS3 games that fit that bill because they have sadly been thin on the ground.

3 English teams licensed? I'm sure I heard that Konami's current licensing agreement, and for some time as EA extended there license, and stranglehold upon fully licensed utopia, was that they were not allowed more than 2. If all 3 are there then that's great.

Isnt there a video already showing Man Utd and they are not licensed...?? Well it doesnt really matter if the new editor is as good as its said to be, we should be able to make every kit in the premiership.

I love doing the editing, i really do hope it is as good as what they say, i don't mind if United aren't licensed as then i wouldnt be able to do anything with them

yer well theres not really any editing is there because you can take pics of what you want on kits instead of editing each pixel like on the ps2 versions.

i reckon the editor will be the best yet and it is worth getting the camera just for that.

where did yu hear that, i thought the camera was just for face importing. Thats amazing if its true though. A fully patched PES is incomparable

Only Spurs and Newcastle are licensed. Man Utd are back to good old Man Red.

Anyone else think Owen's return to form to coincide with the PES release is quite amusing? To think we were all questioning him a couple of months ago! To be honest, it really should be Ronaldo and Emile Heskey!

what dissapoints me is as soon as other england players are fit they will be automatically reinstated despite the fact they havent clicked and produced and there replacements have.personnaly id leave lampard out and put barry in,bout time he got his chance again, lampard is world class but doesnt produce for england or like many people suggest doesnt compliment gerreard.another i would leave is Richards in for neville,to me neville has become a stale right back for england, lack pace aggression and creativity unlike RIchards.the final one is gonna disagree with many,id leave owen and heskey up front!they compliment each other simple as and the team that is fielded should be one on merit ,performance and teamwork, not big names, but i can guarntee neville will replace richards as soon as he is fit, same for rooney and lampard.we need a manager who has some cohones!

and yes man u surley wont be licensed look at pics earlier in this thread,it shows there unlicensed selves.
