Upset with PES 2008 gameplay

Hi, i'm the PES addict gamer since PES3. Before PES2008 launch i hope there have a better improvement in gameplay and screen shot. When i tried it i'm very upset with the gameplay. The player control is like FIFA 08. The player movement with ball is like a bring a balloon. Very different gameplay compare to PES6. No more PES original player control. Free kick start to move player right to left is too slow and the shoot bar is also to slow. The file setting must be loaded when you start and before left game. Now i'm enjoy play PES6 with latest option file update.

i'm absolutely agree with you mate.
i've been playing PES since it called WE in playstation (WE3, in 1999), and in PES2008 i sense there is no more PES soul inside. more like FIFA like you've said.
The one i disappointed most about is:
1. The audiences when you're score a goal, i didn't even notice that i scored!
2. Too easy to score. even in the top player difficulty settings, with me using low level team vs AI using top level team.
3. The commentator, sorry, but they're crap.
4. Replays. no free-mode camera..

nonetheless i have to say that PES2008 really have an awesome graphic.

no offense to you guys who like PES2008, but i prefer to revert back to my PES6.

There's alway people complaining . If you don't like it , don't play it ! Is all right for me so far since it comes out on the first day.I agreed there have some problems around but there will come out patch to fix them.Why worry so much , just enjoy it PES 2008

Yes i agree if you say that people will always complaining but we do this because we love this game to much and don't want it drop down by FIFA. The Konami have create a georgeous spirit for the gameplay. How do you enjoy the game if it is too easy to score although you play with Top Player difficulty? I don't think i'm the best player that's why i'm confused that only one player can dribling with ball alone and scored 5-6 goals in one game. The controls like i said before is like carrying balloon. No more realistic and gameplay like cartoon. When 1st time i play PES6 i'm so shock with the gameplay. Very fantastic but when i start play PES2008, it 's very dissapointed. Yeah! everybody have a different oppinion. Hopefully Konami will response to this.

you will get used to it if you play it for awhile and if its too easy play somebody tough online.
i actually think its more realistic than pes6, in the older ver. if you're really good you can keep the ball in possession the whole game.

though "only one player can dribling with ball alone and scored 5-6 goals in one game" is true. with too many players

Sorry but i love the gameplay, faster balls, more accurate through balls, i tried playing pes6 again and I found it boring compared to 2008.

However I am disappointed with the no free mode camera replay.

And I can live with the audience being slow to respond to a goal.

But compared to pes6, the game is still an improvement!

yeh of corse there are small bugs in the game when i first got it. bad frame rate in replays: dont mind that. im fine with it now tho.being playing it for a couple weeks and im addicted. pes6 was sooo slow and boring. once online play is fixed it will be even better.
