Hey guys, Just wondering how to get power in your free kicks like when the computer takes them they seem to have alot of power & dip behind it. This is for PS3 by the way

There are several techniques for taking freekicks but it basically depends on the person taking it. You need a high shot power level to get power behind it. But more importantly, you need freekick accuracy (obviously lol) and swerve. Swerve is very important and when your shot actually goes in it looks brilliant and professional.

Take Cristiano Ronaldo for example. Once he develops he becomes very good at freekicks, high freekick accuracy, swerve and power. Rooney has the same too.

I tend to try and get the power bar up to half way, or as close as possible for a controlled shot.

Try holding R2 when taking the freekick. This makes it dip but it usually hits the wall for me. Try it from a further distance, 27m for example.

Free kicks is soo easy in PES2008 even in top-player difficulty. Use Van Persie, gerrard, kaka. They are the best free kickers. In my Arsenal game, i've scored 8 out of 10 freekick with these players

Free-kicks on the edge of the area are as easy as they've ever been. The wall's positioning is disgraceful. If the wall is on the left side (free-kick taker's view) and the keeper to the right, there will be a huge gap for a right-footed free-kick taker to smash the ball down the middle.

I find one of the most important factors (after accuracy) for a good free-kick taker is his technique/motion. I think it's number 4 that I've found to be the most effective, but Ronaldinho and Pirlo's techniques are really good too. I've edited Kallstrom's FK technique to number 4 and even though his accuracy isn't that high, he scores a lot this way compared to the default setting.

It's a lot easier to score FKs in PES2008 than in PES6, but PES5 has been the easiest so far.

I will try and do dat doo i dink di dwill dwruggle

:shocking:
