PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord - after some deliberation I've decided to include AZ Alkmaar, because they're closer to the chasing bunch than they are to the big three.

What happened? I couldn't get onto the game for love nor money.

People experienced extremely slow internet connections, and connectivity problems.
Top Gun, after successful testing, couldn't get a stable connection, and kept crashing every time he looked at a particular item in-game.
Original? was having to wait approximately 30 seconds per click due to a weak internet connection.
You obviously couldn't get on, as you said Stella.
The other four of us were successfully connected with responsive playability.
It may have something to do with the new patch, I guess. Perhaps 8.0.2 is less tolerant on dodgy copies? Not really quite sure as yet.
It's definitely a shame, though - I was looking forward to it all going well and getting off the ground nice and smoothly!

I have the full copy as well as being on a quick Internet connection. :unsure:
Personally I think there were far too many leagues running.

I have the full copy too. I mentioned to Nifty that I thought there were too many league but he doesn't think that would make any difference.

I regularly play online with a guy in Canada hosting the game and I never experience any problems.
It's surely no coincidence that so many of us were affected?

That's not true, I'm afraid.
The test game had more countries running than the "real" game. In the test game, we had all of the Eastern European countries running with all of their leagues - I think it was approximately 12-13 countries!
I think it's far more likely to be the new patch. Just to confirm - did everyone download and install?

I played a game online last night and it wasn't a problem. And yes, I have it downloaded and installed.
